Should it stay or should it go now

i sold my slim and fatboy because i rarely if ever used them.if it holds little sentimental value i would pass it along..but my thoughts may be biased as i still like my rockets and aristocrats etc..

Gold Slims aren’t that easy to come by, it’s a great razor, and your preferences could potentially change ( maybe not, but they could).
If you had several, then sell; but only one, I say keep.

I use the 10 second rule. If I can't come up with a reason other than because I can why I should keep it in 10 seconds or less then it is not that important to keep.

 

That razor goes anywhere from $60ish to $125 depending if you have the case, condition, right buyer, etc. A nickel plated Gillette Slim you can still get in the $20 dollar range or less and find one at any time you want. Unless it is some sort of sentimental or emotional reason for keeping it, I'd sell it since I could replace it easily and quickly.

Hold on to it. It is a good shaver that isn't costing you anything and takes up very little room. Use it every once in a while when you want a change. I am not a huge tto fan, but have repurchased a red tip twice after selling my previous razors.

 

Follow up on my silly post. I still say sell it. I have never developed an emotional attachment to anything in my shave den...nor should anyone. It's just a thing. Plenty of other "things" out there.

Ah, ambivalence. If its your one and only, keep it. A change is nice once in awhile, and it is painful to seek a replacement that, "isn't quite..."

I'm in the work of selling off the greater part of a sizeable collection, and I do understand.

 

I say keep it; the gold Slims are getting hard to come across at a reasonable price. Also if it’s giving you good shaves you should keep it; nothing worse than having sellers remorse.

 

There was a reason why you bought it in the first place. Why risk regret? Keep it!
