Yes indeed Dave. Just wrote up an email and filled out return forms then packed it up to send back. Very disappointing.

I asked for an exchange since I do love the razor and want another. Now it's in their hands as to whether they exchange or refund .

    Yardley~~Morris & Forndran~~Dovo~~Houbigant Duc de Vervins
Day two with the Dovo Best.
    Tallow-base today for extra slickness.
The Ali Baba is a tad demure for my hands, but the tips do all the work.
They performed admirably and created a luscious lather with the vintage soap.
24 hour growth is a real test with regard to a straight razor and success.
Last evening, I stropped the razor 40 laps on my SRD 3".
I read somewhere that stropping the day before is more beneficial for the edge,
but I not only can't recall where I read it, but am not able to prove or dis-prove it.
The edge seemed to be just a s smooth as yesterday; and after three passes,
left me with my typical results: A mix of BBS on the cheeks and jaw-line and DFS on the neck.
One minuscule weeper on the right side of my goatee, kept this shave from being perfect.
Witch Hazel clean up, followed by the not-pictured Yardley After Shaving Lotion.
The AS has a light enough scent to not interfere with my FOTD©
(Not that any aftershave could, this Houbigant is a beast)

Awesome head and face shaves today . Started with the G/W blade but found that the Muhle hates it . Swapped it for the Dorco before things went south and all was good ! The Fatip piccolo SE has begun to shed its lustrous finish and the return process has begun. Hopefully I can get a replacement since I love that razor.

Great shave and wise move to swap blades. I'd be worried a replacement might do the same but maybe just an isolated issue. Have a good day Pat

All this talk of cooking with photos succeeding in enabling me. I just placed an order for a 12 inch carbon steel pan. After all I need something to get a good finishing sear when I get the Sous Vide up and running.

I apologize for missing your post earlier Patrick. Great looking shave and photo. I am sorry about the razor but I have read reports of the gunmetal finish just falling off with little use.
