Thursday morning: La Roche-Posay Exfoliating Scrub Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Super Speed/Astra Green day 11 Stirling Sharp Dressed Man SS Nivea Sensitive ASB English Leather Classic AS Splash Azzaro Wanted By Night EdP The Astra Green blade is still performing like a champ - it really surprises me because I only get longevity like this with my Minoras. After not using my Sharp Dressed Man soap for so long I really enjoyed the magnificent scent, it gave me such wonderful lather which was super rich, mega slick, and so protective. The Nivea Sensitive balm’s scent is not to my liking but it’s very moisturizing and soothing. The English Leather aftershave brought back memories of my arrival in Canada. Today’s shave was ultra smooth and very enjoyable! Have a great day - be well and safe! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I actually tried Osage in early winter...was OK. Might do it again in these colder months as an experiment.
Friday morning’s Grand Freeze: Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Super Speed/Astra Green day 12 Stirling Glacial Eskimo Tuxedo SS Stirling Glacial Unscented ASB Krampert’s Frostbite AS Splash Bleu de Chanel EdP Has anyone ever tried shaving with their eyes almost closed? That’s what could happen if you use any of these Glacial soaps. This Eskimo Tuxedo has the exact same gorgeous scent as the Sharp Dressed Man - it’s based on Creed’s Green Irish Tweed, the lather works up so rich, slick, and creamy with a menthol sensation that hits like a ton of icy cold bricks, but you get a wonderful, soothing postshave feeling. The Glacial Unscented balm and the Krampert’s Frostbite aftershave keep the freeze going for a couple of hours. Three passes gave me a brilliant BBS shave that was so pleasurable! Have a great weekend - stay healthy and safe! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Very excited for the arrival of this Stirling order! After ordering a grand total of 30 samples I have decided on Bergamot Lavender and Haverford for full tubs! As a coffee lover I also couldn’t help but snag some Iced Coffee (which I enjoyed for this evening’s shave!). I also ordered a couple of body soaps (like Paul, I will use these as hand soaps) to test two new scents. (First impressions are great for Deep Blue Sea and uncertain for Benjamin Franklin).
Saturday morning’s Grand Freeze: Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Super Speed/Astra Green day 13 Stirling Glacial Electric Sheep SS Prep ASB Fine Snake Bite AS Splash Bleu de Chanel EdP My first time using the Glacial Electric Sheep soap and I frigging LOVE it. That beautiful citronella/lemon/eucalyptus scent together with such intense menthol fumes, that rich, thick, super slick lather which is so easy to work up, and that overwhelming menthol sensation that hits you like a sledgehammer. The mutton tallow base promotes absolutely perfect skincare as well - this soap is magnificent. The Prep and the Snake Bite aftershave felt rapturous when I got finished. Three passes left me mega BBS! Be well and safe! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I meant to say that I received these Stirling treasures yesterday! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Paco Rabanne might be my favorite scent of all time. I’ve never smelled Invictus (Triumph). Is it totally different?
Just curious, is anyone else finding that the top layer of their iced coffee soap is dark brown, but underneath is almost white? I’m a scooper (I don’t swirl in the tub), and after a couple of scoops I’ve hit this lighter layer of soap. It still smells the same, and it shaves just fine, but I’ve never seen this in any of my other Stirling soaps! Anyone else have this experience? Or maybe Rod could explain why this might be happening... thanks!
Friday morning: Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Wash Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Super Speed/Astra Green day 5 Stirling Electric Sheep SS Nivea Cool Kick ASB Bleu de Chanel AS Splash Bleu de Chanel EdP No complaints at all about this shave - three passes left me completely BBS and not only that, my skin felt so well moisturized, soothed, and comfortable thanks to the Electric Sheep soap. I love its unique citronella/eucalyptus/lemon scent, the lather is such a pleasure to work up, and the blade glide is fantastic. The Nivea Cool Kick balm felt great, and the Bleu de Chanel aftershave together with the matching eau de parfum smell magnificent! Have a nice weekend - be well and safe! Does the Electric Sheep remind you of the Vintage Menthol Williams Mug Soap that was around in the 80's and 90's. I'm wondering if the scents, and lather are similar. Clayton Sent from my SM-A705U using Tapatalk
Not at all! My brother-in-law says that the Electric Sheep smells a lot like Williams but I don’t think so. It smells and lathers a million times nicer than Williams and has much better skincare! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well, I think I figured it out. I went to use my Iced Coffee yesterday, and found that the spot of white soap had turned dark brown! It must be an oxidization of sorts or some part of the curing process. I’m not totally sure, but it seems to just be part of this soap’s formulation. cheers
Menthol Monday: Welcome to the Deep Freeze! Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Super Speed/Astra Green day 8 Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill SS Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill ASB B&M Arctique AS Splash Bleu de Chanel EdP What a wonderful shave this was and what a bone chilling menthol bombardment! Have a great week - be well and safe! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
In Saskatoon we just had 5 or 6 days of Minus 40 degrees temps. In the middle of that one night the wife and I decided to go to Dairy Queen for ice cream. Your Monday morning "Chill Out" shave reminds me of that!
Rod’s awesome new Glacial Electric Sheep! The latest Glacial scent from Stirling and the first one with a mutton tallow base! Ease of lathering: 10/10–Like all Stirling soaps this one gives rich, super slick, protective lather so fast and easily! Longevity of lather: 10/10–Super stable. Holds up for multi pass shaves so well. General skincare: 10/10–Oh my Lord is this one ever soothing. A MONSTROUS menthol sensation just like all the other Glacials as well as great moisturizing. Scent: 10/10–I love it. Just like the regular version of Electric Sheep it’s a blend of citronella, lemon, and eucalyptus. Beautiful! Price: 10/10–13.60$ USD. Great value! Would I buy again: 10/10–How couldn’t I? I love mentholated soaps and I love Stirling! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Friday morning’s Grand Freeze: Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Super Speed/Astra Green day 12 Stirling Glacial Electric Sheep SS Stirling Glacial Unscented ASB Fine Snake Bite AS Splash Bleu de Chanel Deodorant Stick Bleu de Chanel EdP Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr cold and beautiful - that’s the best and most accurate way to describe this shave! Friday morning’s Grand Freeze: Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Super Speed/Astra Green day 5 Stirling Glacial Spearmint SS Stirling Glacial Spearmint ASB Fine Snake Bite AS Splash Bleu de Chanel Deodorant Stick Bleu de Chanel EdP My face might need all day to thaw out from this intense menthol bombardment. The pre shave soap has a good cooling sensation, it’s pretty much unscented, it does such a great job of cleaning the skin, and it softens up the stubble so well. The Glacial Spearmint soap’s beautiful scent fills the bathroom, its lather works up perfectly, the menthol sensation is so potent that it feels almost painful but the skincare is brilliant. The matching balm has the same wonderful scent with awesome moisturizing as well as soothing, and the Snake Bite aftershave is killer cold. Three passes gave me an easy peasy super duper BBS shave!
