    A fun 200 year old blade...
    Robert Wade of Wade & Butcher fame.

    I figure it is around 1820 or so. It was sold in scales described as pressed “baleen,” which looks to be very similar to horn, but made from baleen bristles of a whale.

    These scales have “John Bull” and his likeness on this side. John Bull is an imaginary figure who is a personification of England, similar to America’s Uncle Sam.

    John Bull above and Good Old Times below.

    On the backside I see “Wellington,” and what I presume to be the Duke of Wellington.

    Pretty small razor, coming in around 5” in length folded. But a pretty cool surviving piece of history.

    Waiting on this Lovely Puma Solingen 76..It was a Buy it Now Job on USA Ebay..Got it for a Real Good Price..Was Just Recent Listed..:Looks at Least a 6/8th or 7/8th..Looks Factory Fresh with the Factory Grease on it..Never Seen a Model 76 Before..;)

    Guessing its a Rare Bird..Puma Razors are Hard to Find in this Nick & they Can Go for a Small Fortune..Cant Wait to get My Hands on it..Puma Razors are the Dogs Danglies..I have a Number of Em..:D

    Thanks..These are what is Commonly Refereed to as Faux Wood..Imitation Wood..They are Done Very Well..Its Easy to Mistake it for Wood..They are that Well Made..These Tend to be Earlier Puma Razors..:happy088:
