It is good for sure. It projects beastly off of my skin, so I have to go easy on the sprays, but other people say it doesn't project off of them. Weird how fragrance works different on different people. For me this is a winner.

    TUESDAY'S SHAVE

    Perfumed by:
    Olivier Creed
    [IMG]

    Razor - Edwin Jagger "Kelvin"
Blade - KAI Stainless Steel *Fresh Blade
Shave Brush - Satin Tip "The Purest"
    Razor/Brush Stand by Royal Shave
    Pre-shave Oil - Lather & Wood "unscented"
Shave Soap - Catie's Bubbles "Le Piment de La Vie" *Luxury Cream Formula
Aftershave - Country Club for Men "Southern Oud"
Post-Shave Balm - Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements "Mysterium Serum"
    Deodorant - Sam's Natural "Tobacco"
    Fragrance - Creed Royal Oud

I don't remember shaving with a Kai blade in my EJ Kelvin before. I thought I tried every blade in it, but I have to give this one a go and then eventually a Wilkinson Sword blade. Most blades shave well in the DE89 head, so I'm not expecting much difference.

    Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Asda Tingly Mint & Tea Tree Shower Gel.

    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Cien ~ PURE Fragrance Free Sensitive Bar Soap + Nuage Menthol shaving Oil.
    Brush: Vie-Long Horsehair.
    Face Lather.
Lather : La Toja Shave Stick.
Blade: Personna Gem modified PTFE. (2)
Razor: Valet ~ Auto Strop VC1.

    Post:
Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade (~Winter mix~) Lavender + Tea Tree Oil Witch Hazel Mixture./La Toja ASL/ Aloe Vera Gel.

    Greetings,

My intention this morning was to carry on and use my Ever-ready 1924 'Shovelhead' but disaster struck!!.After loading the blade and closing the top cap, the razor head welding mount broke off the handle mounting...I consider this 'a blessing in disguise' as this could have happened in the middle of my shave which could have resulted in me getting a nasty bite!. Enough said... At least i still have my much loved 1912's & 1914..I now have a spare handle for my 1912's.
To carry on i used my Valet Auto Strop VC1 which was a wonderful replacement to keep my vintage SE razor week in the same theme.
Out of all my vintage SE razors the valet auto strop VC1 i find the mildest but if i was to choose just one vintage SE razor, then my much loved VC1 would be a very strong favourite along with my ER 1912(UK). From my maiden shave i found my shaving angle after a few seconds and was instantly in charge and at ease with this vintage lady...However i have said this many times, like any other razor i shave with either vintage, modern, aggressive or non-aggressive is worthy of no pressure and much respect and consideration if not, then it will bite!

Another effortless 3 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report. Everything in my shave set up worked together superbly considering the circumstances...

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.;)

Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.

When I shaved, there was a beautiful mist hanging over the valley (at least...around here).
Now it's sunny and I'm happy for all the sun worshippers.

This is a gift shave, in fact both the soap and the Edt were two gifts.

I finally discovered, thanks to the boundless knowledge of a colleague, that this blade is not new, but dates back to Polish production in 1976.

Yesterday the growth was too short to indulge in the pogonotomic ritual, but not today: ergo I'm as smooth as a fat baby's bottom. (And don't let yourself get into any jokes: my dad has already provided plenty for all the years I have left...).

    Jayaruh #47
    AutoStrop A2

    Tabac ASB

The Tabac Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #47 brush. Two passes and touch ups with the AutoStrop A2 razor with a Feather FHS-10 blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Tabac ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

The Full Measure of Man, from start to finish, is largely authentic cured tobacco. This is not an aromatic tobacco, so don't look for the sweet cherry or vanilla often associated with aromatics. However, the base of the overall fragrance floats notes of peppery vanilla, faint florals, dark berries, and leather. There is an expectation of smoke, but it's not there. This will inevitably be compared to Roam, but the tobacco is probably the only thing they have in common. While Roam is rugged and hard, The Full Measure of Man evokes images of an old, well-preserved upscale lodge with open-beamed ceilings reflecting an amber glow from sparsely placed lamps; dark, knotty wood flooring, heavy heirloom tables, and over-sized leather furniture. This is sanctuary of quiet reflection frequented by humble men of purpose.

So do I. I mostly use synthetics now but when I want a natural brush it's the one I reach for. Works and feels great.

    Tuesday morning‘s Grand Freeze:

    Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap
    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed/Astra Green day 2
    Bundubeard Kameelperd’s Kick SS
    Prep ASB
    Krampert’s Frostbite AS Splash
    Bleu de Chanel Deodorant Stick
    Bleu de Chanel EdP

Exactly the same type of menthol power as yesterday - the Kameelperd soap with its lovely coffee/peppermint scent, its fabulous lather, and its overwhelming menthol sensation along with such perfect skincare - what more could I ask? The Prep and the Krampert’s Frostbite aftershave completed the job beautifully. Not even a professional barber could have gotten me smoother than this!

    Be well and safe!
