Thanks, Gary! I spent 40 or so years with my sons trying it on at various jewelry stores from the time they were little. I was pretty down after losing my Anita. So in 2013 they all chipped in and bought one for me! They’re wondering to whom it will go when I transition to the other side of the grass!
Until I was recently gifted this beefy Citizen, I haven't worn a watch in the last few decades. Now I have been looking to add a slightly smaller field watch as a daily driver....
Sweeeet, a wonderful present. They are getting tougher and tougher to find unless you are willing to pay $$$$ over retail. Enjoy!
More shiny than the old Citizen, I don't care for shiny on a utility watch (should be more matte IMO) but I'll get used to it. 40mm case is a bit bigger, so face is easier to read. Leather NATO on it here but something else is on the way. Good watch for under $60.
I already had that pattern with bolder colors, available pretty much anywhere, but came across this one from a seller in Puerto Rico. The colors are muted and washed out. Figured it would be used when I got it but it came new in its factory wrapper. I prefer this one.
Here is my daily driver on a new band. It's gray market 42mm Citizen eco-drive on a 22mm nato band and much lighter than the 47mm diver.
From the local $4 rescue bin. New battery, quick polish, added a Barton waxed cotton band, and it's good to go. For a cheap Timex quartz, this one has a reputation as a reliable timekeeper that's hard to kill.
