Agreed. The carbon ones especially.
However, I have a few injectors of vintage stainless PALs that are excellent.

I'm not a fan, personally. Very hit and miss.

I haven't used the ones with the razor, but I am a fan of the current Personnas. They are above Chicks for me.

I have vintage Personna Twins and Gillette Twinjectors. Both are quite good, once I got over the guilt of the whole twin blade thing.

Anyone heard of Il Marchese before? Very nice looking wood/resin combos, albeit pricey. Some high end Synthetic knots as well.

I desperately missed joining in on the Muhle Madness the other week due to the absence of hardware, @Primotenore to the rescue.

I was in a hurry this morning but did not want to miss a single operatunity to shave with the unicorn 2011 R41 head so generously on loan from Joseph.

I failed to keep my usual advice to not rush gear testing. Oh well, I didn’t really need that skin anyway. Uh, yeah I did. I do believe I’ll live though. They say “chicks dig scars”, but since I’m still married to my High School sweetheart, I doubt she will be impressed.

It was a fun first shave, I can absolutely see why people love these things, and I learned why some fear them.

I’ll try Personna (one & done) Blue tomorrow.

Sandpiper ranks high in the Max Headroom List of Most Glorious Stanks, but even at minimum application volume, it ain’t my fave wearing a mask all day.

That is great news, Clint. I started taking a med a few years ago that initially made me feel weird. All good now. Hopefully, that will be the case for you. I was also told to limit coffee to 1 cup per day. I was eventually able to increase it without any negative effects.

 

Pssst, Jim...make sure you get a brush handle without a sticker.
