Honeybee soaps is one of the Original 3 Sue's of soap making. Honeybee Soaps, St Charles Shave and Mama Bears with Honeybee being that last of the 3 Sue's to cease making when she passed away. I LOVE this scent and wish I had a full tub. It's just a small amount I moved to a smaller tub left and will be the next soap I'll focus on finishing. It will probably be replaced with Green Fresh from Ethos when done. Great shave with the G3. This came in my boxed set with the Metal handle and the box states Metal on it. I acquired another with no box that had the Bakelite handle. Both shave the same obviously but like Fuzzy I preferred the feel of the Bakelite when I used it today. Topped off with Skin Bracer and enjoying the powdery goodness. Have a great day Guys and Gals !!

Blair recently mentioned why he was opposed to the CT because some of the them displayed a negative vibe which is opposite the premise of being a welcoming forum. However, he said he wouldn't be opposed to one that could be misinterpreted by a new member because of not being clued into the history of being tagged with a CT. Hence, I proposed Speed Racer because of his good family values and Blair's penchant for car shows, and races

Happy Tuesday Everyone. Sticking with the Masamune for one more day before moving onto the Feather AS-D2. The Tatara/Semogue boar did a wonderful job lathering the La Toja shave cream. Three passes and touch ups caught the baby with ease. A splash of the matching La Toja aftershave and I hope I am ready for a day at a client site today. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

This shave's razor, the Dovo Best, has been graciously loaned by Bill, @Edison Carter, for a series of shaves to assess his method of honing. I am not an expect on the subject of honing, however, I am comfortable with my straight razor shaving technique to determine a quality shave and edge when I experience one.

This shave featured the soap that will be used every other day in the 1508.5 Project. Again, nothing less than a three pass shave will do. Although, I could have easily managed a two pass shave since the resulting face feel was phenomenal. The razor easily and comfortably removed the 24 hour stubble without an mishaps or irritation. The alum report was remarkable silent. I will look forward to the upcoming shaves with this razor for the remainder of the week before it's return to Bill.

Hi all!
Finally had time to search for a different handle for my newly acquired razor.
So this mornings shave, it was used.
Although it didn't shave much differently, it was easier to wield.
The head shave was not as clean as I'm used to but none the less very good.
The face is clean and smooth.


Using a better than average soap and a new feather blade, I did the deed.
So basically even if you eliminate the safety bar, that's no assurance that the razor will preform as well as another open blade tool.
But it will raise the efficiency up a notch or two, or six, that's guaranteed .

Today is a good day here in the woods!
The dreaded covid has smacked us around a bit.
Me and my oldest grandson are the only two that haven't tested positive.
Me watching and babysitting them during their illness.
I've been exposed, tested and quarantined so many times.
My wife having a high tendency for pneumonia ended up in the hospital.
Today she turned a corner and is doing well.
Maybe she'll get out in a few days.
So far, we all survived.
As the song goes...
"A country boy will survive..."

Don't worry bout us, we're fine!
