Interesting comments on the Dart vs. the R41 models today (which I've never tried). Based on all the comments I've seen, I was kind of wanting to try the 2011 R41 for just the same reason, hearing it's a monster shaver. First couple of shaves with the Dart (back in March 2019) I was still a DE wet shaving newbie, had a couple weepers with it, but after a few more uses, had kind of written it into the mild 'autopilot' DE shave category. Of course a lot of the aggressiveness of a DE/SE razor has to do with blade exposure, but I sincerely believe a big part is also what each individual has ingrained in their muscle memory/style for handle shaving angle (i.e. riding the cap vs. riding the bar, or somewhere in between). Methinks it's all part of that TTT theory....where one can manipulate any tool to get the shave results you want (as long as the tool is functional). Hmm...I think I just rationalized my brain out of any DE/SE future purchase.
Just kidding on this end Joe. You should expect that from the class clown. We are good bro. For all the bad press Dovo gets from some places, my samples are good. And pretty don’t shave, a good edge does.
When I first got the Dart I was getting great shaves from the start. It's when I put it down and developed shallow angle muscle memory is when I started struggling with it. All good for me now. With what I've learned from it I've taken to experimenting with all my razors. Sent from my SM-T510 using Tapatalk
Thanks, Joe. I had a gfi outlet in the garage go bad today. That's on the list for tomorrow. Sent from my SM-T510 using Tapatalk
