Razor: Valet auto-strop C1 Canadian variant- MFG 1920's, modified gap from .011 to .007 thousands of inch to smooth out the shave 2 years ago and enjoy my shave today. Nice to use a razor back from the roaring 1920's, Valet Auto strop was a household name at that time period.
Blade: Modified GEM Personna SS PTFE(3) excellent blade, very sharp, good longevity, smooths out nicely & predictable.
Soap: Italian barber Amici, nice mid red grapefruit scent, great lather qualities.
Brush: Razorock Noir plissoft 24 mm, nice lather generator, cloud like soft tips with good scrub back bone + great lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with ceraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Italian barber Amici with witch hazel + Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BbS + no irritation + no weepers = Excellent shave with my Valet Auto-strop C1 + a Gem modified coated blade.

I decided to use the V1 plate on the right and the V2 plate on the left side of my face this morning. The V1 plate produced a nice comfortable shave with very little blade feel. The V2 plate has more blade feel, but not overly much, and ended up giving a slightly closer shave. All in all I find it is a great razor regardless of the plate.

A seemingly normal shave, but with a couple of surprises...
It's the second time that the screw of the head of this razor has worn out: it was fine for years and then, all of a sudden it leaves me!
I made up for it by using the head of the MR8, but I'm desperate: the heads are out of production!

No surprises, anyway, for the razor/blade combo.

On a forum (I don't remember which one) I found this Chet Baker performance. I don't like live recordings: I want to listen to the music, not to the audience!
And this was a second surprise: this one, though, beautiful!
It's a piece for all seasons: you can listen to it when it's snowing, raining... but also when there's a dazzling sun!
Very nice indeed!
