The taming of the Tatara. I think.

Can the Nodachi be tamed? Is it possible?
The Razorock 400 took care of the Imperial shave soap with out any problems. It produced a very large amount of thick slick stuff.
On to the Tatara. It was taunting me this morning. I could not resist and had to give it a go this morning.
I loaded a fresh Astra SP in the Nodachi, added a nylon washer and the Weber bulldog handle. I am use to shorter handles on my razors so I though I would give the bulldog a go. Since I rode the cap the last go around I figured I would get on the bar for this shave. Hey....what have I got to loose.....skin will grow back. I kept the handle almost parallel to the skin and completed three smooth drama free passes. The shave felt really great. After rinsing the soap onto the alum. I wet the alum and started rubbing the face down. It was like rubbing an ice cube across my face except for one small spot on my neck which was just a little warm. If I have a problem that is the area that I have a problem with. Anyway, I was totally shocked and excited with the results of the alum this morning.
A little splash of witch hazel and no smelly stuff today. I have some work around the house today.
Can the results from today's shave be replicated? We shall see in the morning. Would this razor benefit from the shorter Masamune handle that Dave
@Dave in KY has?

Do I need to try the longer Nodachi handle and ride the bar again. More experimentation is needed but hey I'm having fun.
Have a great Saturday gentlemen!
