Good morning gentlemen. My day and the forthcoming near future was thrown a curveball as we received notice from my son’s Day Care center that on Monday he was exposed the COVID virus. As a result he has to quarantine for the next 10 days. Therefore, will be be teaching from home during that time. Oh joy!

On to this morning’s shave, fabulous from the 2nd pass to the conclusion. The first pass with the Treet blade results in some consistent pulling which lead to a blade change to the Gillette Silver Blue for the final the passes. The end result was another smooth and close shave. The only challenge I find with the Futur clone is the enlarged head provides a significant challenge on the upper lip area close to the nose.

The scent profiled the shave soap is incense, oud, pepper, berries and lavender which provides many options in my den for the finishing touches. Today, I chose Stirling’s Arkadia for it’s peppery scent. A perfect pairing.

@Trigger - I guess you won’t be at Mt. Sinai H.S. at least for today being that they had to shut down due to numerous students test positive. Same with my home neighboring district, Miller Place. The word on the street, FB MtS-MP Momma’s page is that some teenager had a party over the weekend. The host was positive. I do not know if the kid new that at the time.

Makes me wonder if Anthony’s exposure at Day Care could be somewhat as a result of this party, if a sibling of the child at Day Care had attended the party.

Today is really Wednesday. At least I hope it is. Happy Hump Day Everyone. I decided to stick with Mike's soap for another day. Today I went with Mike's Bay Rum. I love this straight forward honest bay rum scent. The Mondial boar did a fantastic job loading and face lathering the soap. Three passes and touch ups caught the baby with ease. I am off to see my physical therapist this morning. Hopefully some dry needling will help relieve some of the tension in my upper back and shoulders. I have been under a lot of pain and at this point I am willing to try anything. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.

March Focus

Wednesday = Williams. This soap is potently spiked with menthol crystals.
The "Douglas" has a fantastic knot and while I wish it were a 59,
I am grateful to have this brush in my den.
Day Two with the Sharp Star/Old Type team and the old adage:
"Practice makes perfect" is really apropos.
I would almost rank this razor as "aggressive" as my 2011 R41. Almost.
The blade-feel with this razor is strong. Multiple angles are possible,
but a shallower angle yields better and smoother results.
Tallow Williams is as slick as it gets and yields an excellent post-shave.
Cleaned off the excess with some witch hazel and applied some Proraso ASB.
I am going through this bottle like there is no tomorrow.

Williams Wednesday shave, gave it a test lather run when I got Dave’s package and the lather was excellent. People refused the smell as smelling like mothballs, but I honestly love the smell of Williams, I don’t really get that moth ball smell at all to be honest. Smells fresh and clean. Brought out the 49 Superspeed with a shark blade in it , completes a 3 passer today. Hope everyone has a great day!

The Dscosmetics T4 brush made quick work of the Soap Commander this morning. Really like the T4 and it is close to the feel of the Trafalgar just not as dense.

I just cannot put the Nodachi down. I loaded a fresh Astra SP in it and a different handle for another awesome shave this morning. Three glorious passes to a BBS. I don't chase the baby but if the baby shows up it is nice. The alum was barely noticeable in a few spots.

A little witch hazel followed by American Tobacco by Andy Hilfiger. I am smooth and smelling purdy.
