    Gillette is still actively trying to exit the de market entirely. India is its largest de market. Gillette introduced the Guard razor in India for pennies in hopes of moving customers over from de blades. If India and the 3rd world convert the de will just about be doa.

    could well be.obviously it cost a lot of $ to make packaging and production to market/sell these blades in canada..no de blades on store shelves here for decades.the u.s got platinum plus blades,while we didn't.

    The first world accounts for a very small percentage of the double edge blades used. Without the third world users the market would have collapsed long ago. I suspect most blade makers don’t won’t to reinvest a lot in machinery and tooling in a market that is stagnant to shrinking.
