Thanks Jeff...the Nodachi and I have become buddies. Although he was a little nervous getting his tail docked he likes it now. Take care and be careful when y'all travel back.
Thank you, Jeff.,.our union representative's have been in another meeting today to get any further details and reassurances, we'll get the outcome tomorrow evening... I've been in this situation before, so I know what to expect. Yours-Barry.
March 10th/11th BAUME.BE Shaving Cream Brad Sears Shave Works Disco - Super Badger Hybrid Seiko 6/8 Kamisori Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements Star Jelly paco rabanne pour homme Continuing on with the 2/3 rule for March, now with BAUME.BE shaving cream. Same setup for yesterday and today's shave, although yesterday was no EdT. Excellent bowl over flowing lather from barely an almond sized scoop of BAUME.BE, a soft yellow cream in a seriously heavy black glass container. This cream properly hydrated is super slick with tons of volume after a thorough beating with the BSSW. Painted and swirled on the face, excellent skin feel, just a clean pleasant light citrus aroma. 2.5 passes with the Seiko Kamisori, super smooth shaving edge, catfish belly results for the shave. No shenanigans at all. Finished with my usual PAA Star Jelly, then an incredible vintage Fougère aroma, paco rabanne's pour homme. And....it's here! @MrEE LE #001 in blue. A very deep gorgeous blue! Excellent craftsmanship Evan, just awesome. And....wifey loves it, had to make sure I got it back!
Thanks Clint Thanks Joe I've put that topic to bed for the sake of putting my time and effort into something that I will lose control over . I know it's not a big deal to some people but I like my ideas to stay my way. I'm quirky like that. My beef with the anonymous mod is that they could have at least messaged me to say my thread was duplicating the Haul. I wanted a seperate entity and now feel like I ruined it for the creator of that thread with the confusion it caused . The BMS2021 thread was up and running strong before the changes were made . Why did they wait that long to decide to merge the two?I am fully aware that we have no control over our content created here but common courtesy should have prevailed.I will not give anyone the opportunity to do this again. All my intent was to give members a fun place to go and rib our NB friends about how much we blow on gear while they hold fast and save dollars . It seemed to be a great idea as both sides enjoyed participating. I'm not thin skinned by no means but I would have preferred to be contacted before getting a surprise when I noticed the changes . So yes , I'm a bit hot under the collar still. Sorry for the long winded explanation. Thanks Blair I love your way of thinking Danny. Always on your toes. Thanks Danny . The red tip is bragging to the other razors about all the use he's been getting. Had to seperate him from the rest before trouble started. The 2 Italian and 1 German razor are hot tempered lately and the language barrier is not helping things . I'm going to slide them into the rotation in hopes of calming things down in my once peaceful Den. My Dad went to electrics. He would have thrown a slipper through the TV screen if he had been alive when the infamous commercial or whatever you call it aired . It must have fired someone up because they took a very expensive 8 billion dollar write down over it.
Thanks Patrick and keep those razors separated. I do think your thread lost a lot in the shuffle....I was enjoying it. Take care.
I agree Danny. It was good while it lasted . Somebody was just trying to exert their power from behind a computer screen. If that's what turns their crank then 'Have at er ' I say.
thank you Danny,i suspect they will be three to five depending on..like the platinums.the box says they are stainless steel/platinum coated for long lasting durability.highly doubt they will last like the 70s vintage spoiler blades do..we'll see,first tug beyond my control it's binned.
March 11 I took the R41 loaded with a GSB for a spin on less than a day's growth. Two passes for the win. I'm on a mission to deep-six my Stirling BoS soap and matching aftershave. It has been awhile since I've used Stirling soap. I find the lather to be slicker and the puck to noticeably softer than Tabac. It is definitely a good performer. My 24 mm Omega 40033 boar (knot destined for my @MrEE LE brush handle which awaits me at the post office ) should make quick work of this puck. BoS reminds me of a bright or sweet green scent. I like it, but it would not be my signature. The AS is more like a cologne, as the scent from one splash lasts all day. As a result, I skipped the cologne post-shave. I have eased back on the forum, but I will be around. I will like more and comment only when I have something meaningful or fun to add. Grace and Peace.
@jtspartan Yes. Yes. Yes. https://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/roma-synth-by-pennellificio-omega.65103/
Nice pic, Gary. Yes, I'm assuming if they are platinum, they are one of the existing St. Petes Platinum blades relabelled- Gillette Platinum, Astra SP, 7 O'Clock Yellows...take your pick.
Fantastic shave and photo Blair. Love #001. Hoping mine arrives soon. Fingers crossed for the post office Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
