Very early morning shave, no chance to post until now. Another great shave with the oldest razor in my den. Everything worked as it should- top tier lather whipped up by a fave brush, 3 smooth event-free passes and a great face feeling splash to end it. Life was good leaving the house an hour or so before usual.
A great mail call yesterday as well. @wristwatchb and I worked out a trade for this beautiful SARB033 and I switched out the bracelet for a tumbled leather strap I got from a Vancouver company. First day on the wrist today, and my office pic didn't do it justice:

  5. Great St. Patrick's Day Green Myles! Hopefully the weather forecasters have this one over estimated. It rolled through North Texas early morning as it was organizing, definitely woke the house up early.

  6. Beautiful picture and shave Myles. Glad to see the Feather Weight getting some love.

It is raining hard in our area right now. The bad stuff is suppose to be on us around one this afternoon.

    Stay safe.

SOTD WEDNESDAY MORNING, MARCH 17, 2021

This morning’s shave featured what was originally a razor shaped object (RSO) that my son retempered and oil quenched in his forge. The bevel was reset and then polished on a Shapton progression to 30k and rescaled in Koa Wood. The resulting three pass mug shave was excellent. The question remains as to how long the edge will hold. We’ll see, but thus far, me likee! The two pass ATG dome shave with my Valet Autostrop VC4 easily swept the noggin stubble away. Another great shave to remember. I feel clean, refreshed and velveteen smooth.

RAZOR: BG(Ben Greene) 6/8 Damascus (Mug), Valet Autostrop VC4
    BLADE: Feather FHS-10
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
BRUSH: JT Sapele/Resin Handled Omega Pro48 Boar
    SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Pre de Provence Bergamot & Thyme Balm.

I hear you on adjustables. When you find the sweet setting, I never change them. Even 'adjustable' razors that just have different baseplates. Same thing.
