  1. Sounds like a great shave, Barry. Herbs of Bulgaria? Don't think I've seen that very often. A good product?
  2. A great write up on the razor and on the soap, Dave. Very informative. I have a few of Evan's aluminum brushes that I hold the knot with marine grade Silicone. Nothing has come loose yet, so I suggest a little more silicone if you want to avoid the epoxy.

  3. You have some real dedication to the 1508.5 project, Joe. Well done. That Starling is a unique looking shaver for sure. There just aren't that many modern GEM razors from artisans, it seems.

  4. Sounds like a fine start to the day, Clint. I trust everything will go well with the shots today.

  6. You really did an amazing job with that handle. Can't even tell it was modified, to be honest.
Tribbles! That was a great episode...thanks for the reminder to laugh today, Danny. Much needed.

  8. Fantastic shaves Jeff! When I bought my Herder Ace of Spades in 2019, it was not noticed like it is today. I am glad it gets the recognition it deserves.

Wholly Kaw SS & AS - Fougère Bouquet
    @MrEE Evan's LE w/TGN badger
    Seiko 6/8 Kamisori

2.5 passes with the Seiko today, no issues with crimson fluid leakage. Awesome WK lather, plenty of volume, nice residual slickness, great face feel. This iteration is a previous formula to the current Sierro base, both still sold. No after shave balm today, only the matching AS. Skin feel after several hours still hard to beat with any combination.

Fougère Bouquet is near the top of the list of the fougères in my den, could easily be a daily driver for me if variety wasn't so much fun. All day longevity, very complex & pleasant fragrance, much like SV's Felce Aromatica or the original paco rabannne's pour homme.

    Here's WK's description:
    -------
Clean, crisp and fresh scent. Inviting mix of sweet and spicy. Not cloying and overpowering. Damp, green and earthy. The scent blooms while lathering. The clean scent lingers post shave.

A complex blend of essential oils and fragrance oils with main notes of oakmoss, lavender and bergamot and secondary notes of sandalwood, cedar and other woody notes. The base notes include coumarin, tonka bean, oakmoss, musk and ambergris. Synthetic versions of musk, ambergris, oakmoss are used in the blend.

Atranol free Veramoss is used instead of Oakmoss. Atranol is a chemical found in natural Oakmoss which has been found to be an allergen.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday!
  10. Wonderful shave Jason! It's in the 40's here and we are going to get plenty of rain today and through tomorrow morning. It will be extremely cold winds in upwards to 40 miles per hr.

  13. Thank you Jason. The shots went well today. They really had a very good system for moving a lot of people through the process quickly.

  17. First the tribbles, now your 'planitarium' background. I missed the memo.
A very good description of the juice again, Joseph. Your FOTD summaries have taught me quite a bit about fragrances this past several weeks.
  18. Glad to hear you got the blade where you want it, Jeff. Sounds like a great shaver for sure. Best GEM? High praise indeed.

  19. Agree 100% on getting a few more millimetres of loft out of a T2 Sovereign, Jim. World of difference.
Beautiful combo again today. I don't recall you using that Ogallala software very often. Not a fave?
  20. Great shave recap and photo, as usual, Barry! Hope your day went well!
