  3. Thanks, Jason, but it's also probably one of the most aggressive of my safety razors. Only the notorious Spadson is more so. The Spadson is my usual Mayhem safety razor. This year I'll also be looking for an interesting straight that might qualify.
  4. Awesome shaves gentlemen with some beautiful gear. I am in great company.
  5. Thanks, Joe! You should pick one up for yourself as a retirement gift! I suspect it'll shave magnificently; it dang well better for what I paid for it. ;)

  8. Beautiful razor, Danny! The Stahly has a reputation as a superb shaver! Glad the shave went well, but given the razor's reputation, I'm not surprised. It'll be fun working on the handle mechanism. After we cleaned out my wife's step-father's place we ended up keeping a lot of stuff, one of which was a beautiful wall hanging German pendulum clock. My bride remembers when her mother got it in Germany when she was about 7. It stopped working quite some time ago after more than 50 some odd years of service. I dropped it off at the local clock repair shop. I promised her I'd get it working for her. So we're going to first start with a simple clean, oil, tighten and lube. If that doesn't work we'll see about sourcing a new set of internals.

    Razor: Ever Ready Streamline
    Blade: Gem (1)
    Brush: Rubberset 400 Oumo Badger
    Soap: Zingari Man Blacksmith
    AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
    AS 2: Dragonsbeard SFS
Fragrance: BVLGARI Man in Black Essence

Another run with the Streamline and what a difference a fresh new blade is. This thing is built like a tank and with the heft you can use a light touch and it runs thru the whiskers like (insert your favorite analogy here) I made more of an effort to hydrate my face due to the shorter and stiffer stubble. Used the Kiel's Cleanser from Rob (ExtraProtein) and still had to move slowly with the razor around the mouth on the ATG pass because of the Kevlar whiskers. If I took that approach though it scythed thru what was there and I am as slick skinned as an eel. Finished up with Dragonsbeard SFS and the MIB Essence from BVLGARI and I am smooth and smelling good for this mornings services. Have a Stellar Day Everyone !!!
