Very nice, Billy. Great pose for a Scottish ninja as well. Kind of wonder if my Scottish roots are close to there?
Nice picture! I have been to Scotland about 20 times, not for playing golf... Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk
You’re a lucky man, to live in such a beautiful country Billy! This one on the way from my friend Zak, it’s unbranded or maybe any tang stamps are covered, but it has the looks of a upscale (pun intended) English razor from a dresser set.
Nice one Steve. I honestly couldn't believe how long it sat there waiting to be sold. It's a really nice razor.
Waiting on this Mint NOS Rather Rare Single Twin 6/8 J.A.HENCKELS 10072 Arriving from Japan..I have Seen a Few Threads on these Henckels..Some think they are Fraudulent Jobs when thay have Little Intel on Em..Its a Pucka Real Henckels Factory Job.. Sellers Note.. This 10072½ Henckels is an Extremely Rare "Single Twin" Razor, Doubly Rare because it is stamped "Solingen" and not "Zwillingswerk" (Which is appropriate since "Zwillinge" means "Twins" in German) ..The blade is in Mint Unused condition and have been Untouched since Leaving the Factory.. As Close to New as you can get for this out of Production, Vintage Henckels.. This Single Twin looks like it was Forged and Finished last week not Several Decades Ago.. George Wostenholm & Sons Celebrated IXL Razor 5/8+ Frameback Washington Works I couldn't pass on this one. It is a hair under 11/16th, it cost only $16 total, and cleaned up nicely. I don't know the age of it, but am willing to entertain guesses.
C-MON Special Peter J.Michels Inc 13/16+ Extra hollow Bellied Brooklyn NY Made in Germany This was ratty looking, that is why I bought it. I had to do a lot of cleaning, but it polished up well. no rust or pitting on the blade.
Filarmonica 14 Gen 1 Rejoneo, cream was Musho Real lavender lathered with a Simpsons 57, and a little Agua Balsamica topped things off
Wade & Butcher "Special" Sheffield England 11/16++ inch Extra Hollow Ground This was a decent buy, in my opinion. The seller took $20 for it. It was a little tarnished, but in very nice shape. After cleaning it up, it appears to be in almost "Unused" condition, from what I see. Not a spot of rust or tarnish on the blade. The pictures do not do it justice. Almost all original bluing still on the full length of the Spine, Tail, and Tang. The only parts missing bluing is where I rubbed it off, cleaning it up. Also, The Bevel is factory original, and looks like it hasn't touched a proper Hone. Any dark areas on the blade are just shadows from the camera. It is highly polished.
Saw this, knew it was different, but I still don’t know exactly what it is. F.W.Soderen & Co. frameback No big surprise there, as Soderen cranked out some beautiful framebacks in the late 1800’s. But this one has something different going on with the frame... I had seen one of these before as part of a 7 day set, 6 normal and 1 with this dark frame. In the thread, the owner thought it was a man made material, but later thought a dark wood. It has a “grain” to it, but I honestly can’t tell if that is natural. I know it is not the same material as the scales based on smell, and I am leaning wood, but I am not positive. Either way, definitely looks cool and unique. Happy hunting. Tom
