  2. Thank you Jeff. I love synthetic brushes. I just find natural brushes seem to work better for me when using MWF.

  3. Thanks, Joe! I’m not a fan of the Fatboy, and may get rid of it at some point, but for now it’ll stay around!

  5. Thanks, gentlemen! Glad to hear you were spared the brunt of the storm. @Hembree hope you get to feeling better soon.

Congrats on the griddle, Clint. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine.

  6. You should try Evan’s Monster with a Tuxedo Synth knot with the Fat! The SynBad knot, not so much!

    Thank you, Joe!
    Thanks, Jeff!
I didn't have an issue with the OC plate but the SB plate is smoother in my opinion.

  8. March 26 SOTD

    Hi guys!

    20210326_101403.jpg

    1955 Redtip
    Rockwell DE Blade (?)
    Barbury Synthetic Brush
Chiseled Face Cryogen SS and AS
    Dickinson's WH and Nivea ASB
    Whiskers: 24 hrs

Although I looked presentable, I decided to shave. I picked out the Cryogen because I haven't used it since last year and the weather is warmer. I picked out the Redtip because imo, it is not an aggressive razor and it will suffice for my beard growth. I decided to use very little soap to get a thin lather because I wanted to see how strong the menthol is with such a transparent latherm Well, it is still strong and slick. So, I am glad that I satisfied my curiosity. I am still feeling the chilk and tingling as I am writing this to you guys. 2 passes with some touchups gave me an IBSS++ and no cuts, etc. I am satisfied with the shave because I am not going anywhere that is important. Have a great day fellas!
  9. I know you don't care for the Fatboy because of the clunky head, but it is still a great razor to me. I mainly use mine for face shaves and it really does a great job for me.
  10. :thanks:

  13. Friday's Shave

RazoRock Game Changer .68 OC Razor
    Bic Chrome Platinum (1)
    Omega Roma Colosseum Brush
Mike's Natural Hungarian Lavender Shaving Soap
    T.N. Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Fine Lavender Pour Homme Aftershave

Another early morning relaxing shave. This RR GC .68 OC has been an excellent razor since it arrived several weeks ago. I almost never experience any irritation or most importantly, ingrown hairs. I've been using it for about 75% of my shaves lately. I decided to use another Mike's Natural Soap today - Hungarian Lavender. What a great scent!

Today was my first use of the new Roma brush. It feels very similar in use to the Simpson T3 but I can tell a slight difference with the higher loft. After a few more uses, I will be able to tell if I prefer one over the other, or if they will just be equals.

Two passes did the job wonderfully today with no irritation or mishaps.

  19. Great Red Tip / Cryogen shave, Joe! I’m a menthol guy as well, and currently on the hunt for the coldest menthol AS balm, not splash. Thus far the coldest I’ve experienced is Krampert’s Frostbite. I’m still looking!

  20. Great GC Shave, Andrew! I like Mike’s Hungarian Lavender as well. I haven’t shaved with it in quite some time. I may pull it out and give it a spin!
