  1. I was 54 when I decided to headshave. My only regret is that I should have done it earlier. Headshaving does support my facial shaves because I don't need to go to the barber for a haircut and a straight shave.
  2. Thanks Gary and Patrick!

I have had a busy morning so far. I have a older Weber grill in need of a refurbish so @jluc Jim inspired me to get a griddle top for the grill. I have spent all morning replacing burners and seasoning the griddle. I still have more seasoning to do but I decided it was time for a shower and a shave. The Roma did a wonderful job loading and lathering Mike's Bay Rum. Three passes and minimal touch ups ended in a near BBS shave. More than good enough for a day on the patio seasoning the griddle top. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.

I've stuck to my 'Crat most of the month but I decided to treat myself this AM. I managed to do a 3 pass shave with only a couple weapers. Not bad considering how long it's been. DFS was the result. I was feeling nostalgic this AM. So, I used my first quality straight and the first brush I made myself. Good times!

My wife and I got our 2nd dose of the vaccine and it hit both of us pretty hard. Having my wife sick took me away from my shop more than when I was sick. I anodizing 2 handles while I was vaccine sick, I didn't even go in my shop while Ann Marie was sick. We're glad we staggered our 2nd shots. She's back on her feet now which is wonderful!

  19. :happy088:."My only regret is that I should have done it earlier." absolutely correct. I started buzz cutting / and monthly headshaving when I was 53, four years ago. It was my barber who encouraged me to buy my own hair clippers and do it myself. I started off using a number one, then by mistake one day I forgot to put the comb on and shaved it no-guard and realised it didn't look that different. Then curiosity got the better of me and done my first full head shave which felt amazingly good.. As you rightly said Joe, my only regret, also was not doing it much earlier, but our false vanity tells our ego we have to keep up the pretense. Take care my friend. Yours-Barry.

  20. Much appreciated, Joe. In fact, I do change the angle at the neck. That's what gave it the original name of "Y Formation"...I use that to move from the corners to the Adams Apple area. As for under the nose, anything I may miss with the razor usually gets swooped up by my Nose*Ear Trimmer.
