Good enough shaves are just as important as BBS ones. Thankfully, your shave was better than good enough. Enjoy the day Clint.
Thanks Barry! For the record, I had no pretense because I had the crown look at 18 yrs old. Personally, it was a matter of economics. Why should I pay a barber to shorten my horseshoe and still be charged the same as someone with a full head of hair? It was only when I shaved my head to be like Mr. Clean at Halloween theme day at a summer camp that also was the impetus to do so. I was sold when a very attractive staff member said that I definitely can rock this look. As they say, the rest is history.
I am not talking about the direction on how you shave your neck Paul. I am talking about the angle of the edge in relation to your skin. The steeper or larger the angle edge is to the skin surface, then the higher the incidence of cuts. The neck is a sensitive area and you can't use the same shaving edge angle on your cheeks when you shave your neck, especially when you do against the grain passes.
Yes, I see that. And I bet you know who advised me on that first. (Hint: He shaves his head and teaches Chemistry).
Jason, I would agree with your assessment of the Bon Vivant and the GLSq. I have had no complaints about their longevity. I find the UCS to be much less in that department. Looking forward to what you thoughts are after tomorrow’s shave. Fabulous shave this morning.
Thanks Clint. I slept most of yesterday and part of the morning. I think I had a 24 hour bug. Staying close to the bathroom is no fun. I'm feeling a lot better now and just trying to catch up on the shenanigans. Get that grill topper out. I'll be there in about three hours.
