I dont know which soap this is by the Holy Black but it smell awesome and the slickness is crazy good. I got this sample a couple of years ago at maybe the last West Coast Shave event in Pasadena. So if any of you know which soap this is please let me know. the lather was weird, add water it just became too thin. Dont add water and the lather dried up fast. Somewhere in the middle lather was clotting but thinish foam? Lol i dont know! Anywho the razor performed exceptionally well on setting 3 and left me bbs smooth. The post shave was outstanding, and the scent reminded me of pinaud fleur de france soooo i happen to own some of this unobtanium and paired it with and BOOOOM! Flowers of france all up on my face!

Razor: Razorock 2nd gen Lupo.72-Mfg 2021, excellent design & materials, positive blade exposure, carefree shave today.
Blade: Gillette Polsilver Super Iridium(2)- Excellent blade with great longevity, Sharp & smooth.
Soap: Haslinger Schafimilch, mild fresh scent and excellent lather qualities, great post shave feel.
Brush: Yaqi Timberwolf whiskers 24mm, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips + excellent scrub + great lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock XXX aftershave with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = Excellent shave with my RR Lupo.72 + a Polsilver super iridium.
It does not get much better for me with todays shave!

As you might expect, "Fruit de la Passion" opens with an unmistakable gourmand passion fruit fragrance. The inherent sweetness is mitigated by a sharp but nonspecific citrus. This is enveloped in a subdued floral that reins it in from the gourmand to the elegant. The mid offers up a ripe green succulent before settling to a soft creamy woodiness. I really enjoyed this first outing with Fruit de la Passion. Of course the Kaizen 2 (K2) base is flawless.

Tabac Thursday 0030 SOTM




Well, I just had to use tabac so I waited until it was officially Thursday to shave and a couple beers ingested. Half an initial pass with my first time using the Pearl Flexi at 4.5 resulted in a significant nick to my chin. No bother- an excellent overall shave resulted before bed. I’m smooth and comfortable. Happy Healthy Shaves all.

This travel set was the 1st 1924 I acquired back in 2015; after being sent down the SE rabbit hole. The short handle doesn't really bother me plus the audio feedback is second to none.
