Monday, a Dahlgren frameback in ivory that was part of a set (the others are black bakelite/hard rubber, etc) with an odd scale cap. Soap and splash were Floris 89, a fine shaving razor indeed. Today, the Filly 14 that was testing nagura (details in the honing thread), soap was Savonnerie du Moulin, an exceptional soap that doesn’t get much attention these days, and a little ABC almond balm finished up a fins shave on a sunny but chilly spring morning.

Lovely shave with the Herder but the star of the show was some vintage Old Spice. @Primotenore listed it in a den clearance sale and I snatched it up. It was many years since I had Old Spice on my face. It comes out fast and the heavy dose has me smelling great. Thank you. I bought it very cheaply. That has not been a wrong choice. It is very thinly grounded and noisy.
Le Grelot Zenith, soap was MdC agrumes and AaS was Myrsol Agua di Limon. Wonderful shave as to be expected from these vintage French razors.

Thursday morning, Klas Törnblom. Handy little razor. Have to hone it a little bit more. I have never had a razor with a blade so hard. It is like diamond... Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk
3/8 straight razors are used for shaping facial hair and were not meant to completely shave the beard, etc. Also, they don't hold a lot of lather so your comstantly cleaning the blade. You need to shave with at least a 5/8 straight.
