My apologies, Danny. The instructions regarding closing all windows and doors, sheltering in place, taking pets indoors, and thoroughly washing all garden vegetables before consumption were mistakenly omitted. I assume all your neighbors know this since you have a longstanding history of Clubman (ab)use.
Finally it is Friday. Not only is it Friday but it is the start of spring break. Here is the setup for today's shave. Finished up BBS and smelling great. Hope everyone had a great week.
@jgreenepa Jeff, I want to encourage you concerning your 8/8 straight razor. I realize your trepidation of using this blade. You have 1 yr of straight shaving experience and therefore, you will get used to shaving with it fairly quickly. I remember being cautious with Mad Max for the very first time with only 20 months experience. My 15/16 Wosty near wedge was my biggest blade until Mad Max arrived and that was a larger width differential than your current one. After a few strokes, I psyched myself out by treating the razor like it was normal size and trusted my experience to get me through it. I realize you are different and that the weight and width of your 8/8 is a new experience for you. Go into the session with the mindset that it is just another razor and that your muscle memory will win out. I will say that it might be a little harder scooping out the stache area, but it is doable. If you have to make any adjustments, then they will be minor because you have your technique down. Case in point, the only adjustment that I made with Mad Max was to turn my head away from the mirror slightly more than usual in order to get a better view of landing the blade. Over a year ago, straight razor shaving was a dream for you and now it's been a reality for over a year. You got this!
