Sunday Schick Shave, April 4th 2021 Razor: Schick injector championship theme series L type- Mfg 1976- Schick was a big sponser for the 1976 Montreal, Canada Olympics, mild injector. Easy to work the face and gives good results. Blade: Personna SS PTFE injector(8) Great blade, very sharp, good longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable. Soap: Italian Barber Amici, nice grapefruit scent, excellent lather properties, very affordable. Brush: Razorock Noir 400 Plissoft, kind of reminds me of my boar brush, cloud like soft tips, good scrub + great lather painter. Pre shave: Washed the face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on cleaned beard area. Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 3+ pickups. WTG + 2X ATG + pickups. Post shave: Italian barber Amici with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm. Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = excellent shave with my Schick injector L type+ a Personna blade. Sotd I started my birthday weekend with my birth year razors and ending it with another. 3 razors so 3 days of shaving with them. Razor: Gillette V2 black adjustable short Blade: astra Brush: badger Soap: Penhaligans Sartorial Post: medicated witch hazel A/S: nivea 2phase Cologne: penhaligans Sartorial A good shave. I normally load my face with my hard pucks. But i decided to load from the puck. Worked out pretty well and took my time to create my lather and ended up with some thick lather that isnt the slickest but was nice. I love this scent and im glad i got the cologne and soap. The Pearl Flexi... basically a heavy solid brass (satin plated) adjustable razor “inspired” by the Rex Ambassador. Smoother than the Rex that I owned IMHO. I bought it as a possible inexpensive adjustable non-vintage travel razor. Schick N1, Schick II twin blade, shave 22 Decided to resurrect this one for Easter. It got across the finish line but barely. Close but no BBS finish and this blade is officially being retired after this shave. With that said these Schick Twin injector blades by far last longer than any other DE or SE blade out there.
