Normally, this would be a no shave day, but I am trying to use up the Glastonbury. I have not shaved with an under 20 hr stubble in a very long time. It has to be at least 15 to 20 years, if not longer.
I picked the VDH razor because it is my mildest and I really do not need an aggressive razor to mow down this 17 hr stubble. Everything clicked. A BBS shave was the result without any problems. Finished the shave in my usual manner. There wasn't any stinging from the splash so it was a close, comfortable shave. Have a nice day!
  5. Love the picture this morning, Jeff. I'm still blown away by the straight.....just gorgeous. Take care.

  19. I have the Spyderco Sharp Maker and give it a bit of a go. I still have quite a bit of steel to remove from the new tip, so will likely continue with a Lansky multiple stone set up with a 30 degree angle. That Buck steel is so hard that it just takes a while to remove it. I do have a couple of diamond stones I may use to take down some material. There's also the dremel on low speed and constant dipping in water to keep the temperature down and not lose the temper in the steel. Then I'll get to find some leather and make a new belt sheath for it.
  20. Thanks Jeff.

Not so nice for my brush.
