Yesterday's shave was my first shave with my recently acquired Schick type D. Unfortunately it has a damaged blade stop. Luckily it holds the blade very well. I just have to be careful with that corner. I split the shave pretty equally with the Fuzzy Catcher by twhite. I have a few razors that need minor repairs, I really need to learn to do fine detail soldering or Micro TIG welding/brazing.
Thursday's Shave Cold Water Rinse Musgo Real Shave Soap Jayaruh #277 Badger Fuzzy Lather Catcher Personna GEM SS PTFE CWR Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS The Musgo Real Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #277 Badger. Two passes and touch ups with the Fuzzy Lather Catcher razor with a Personna GEM SS PTFE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Schick N1, Vintage Schick twin blade, shave 12 After yesterday's shave with an N3 I decided to swap the blade back into the N1 to see if there was a difference. My first impression of the N3 was wrong and these are the same razors shave wise. The blade is starting to drop off is all. I got 20 - 21 solid 5 pass shaves with a modern Schick twin blade now we shall see if this vintage one can match it for longevity. End result BBS finish achieved but barely.

Parker adjustable injector, Schick injector blade, shave 2 Figured I'd give this razor another go. This razor is the perfect example of how a sharp blade improves a mild razor. You can get some of your best shaves and worst shaves with this razor just by the blade choice. Personna's are a no go for me in this razor and it is full open or bust. A (s)chick blade and full open at 5 this razor is super efficient but still mild. End result BBS finish achieved.

Sunday Schick shave, April 11th 2021 Razor: Schick injector E type, Canadian variant- Mfg 1930's & 40's, excellent mid range and a joy to work around the face, lightweight and so some minor pressure might be needed at times. Blade: Personna SS PTFE (10) very sharp blade, great longevity, smooths out nicely. Soap: Speick, scent is a little spicy with excellent lather qualities, I like this hard triple milled soap. Brush: New Yaqi boar brush- 1st use lathering face, it shed some hairs prior with my break in method and I had a very good lathering with this brush today IMO. https://theshaveden.com/forums/thre...ar-brush-a-little-quicker.65379/#post-1953176 Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area. Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups. Post shave: Razorock Santa Marie del Fiore with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm. Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = Excellent shave with my Schick injector E2 type with a Personna injector blade. Have some great shaves! Stay & think safe in these times!
