Last night I bought a British made Gillette Rocket with red/clear case made for the Canadian market. I believe it’s from 1949 since the case said that year. I’m also waiting on a custom made razor from Rod George with a craps table layout image for the handle.

I am waiting for an ArtRazor. It is a 13/8 half hollow custom straight. It is model 1000. It needs to be scaled. I am getting the scales in blue kirinite. Here are pics of the blade:
Beautiful blade! However what is the purpose of using a butcher knife in the face????? how do you manage to shave under the nose without getting rid of it? Please misunderstand my Swedish points here, we are just used to maximum 6/8 blades... Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk
Thank you! I do not own this blade so I have not shaved with it. I own a 10/8 Max Sprecher Half Hollow Spanish Pt and I did not have a problem shaving with it. See the pic below: I wanted a razor to challenge my skills so I bought the 13/8 ArtRazor. Since I have a small nose, it is easy for me to shave under it using a big blade. With this 13/8 blade, I may have to modify my technique to get the mustache area. I have over 500 open blade shaves under my belt so I don't think that I will have a problem shaving with that huge blade.
