  1. Thanks, Jeff.

Not an ignorant question. The Delrin is very lathe friendly and machines real nice. I just enjoy the minimalistic looks of the cylinder shapes. To me it is taking a razor handle or shave brush handle and making the most basic shape. Does it hold a light to the beautiful stainless steel handles...of course not but I like the no frills basic look.

The taper on the handle below was machined with a pocket knife laying across a cutting bit for a rest. This is how easy the Delrin cuts.

I may venture out in the future with some intricate designs but for now I'm happy with the basics.

    Take care.

  3. Beautiful black hardware, Clint. The Supply is such an awesome shaver. I hear you on the ability to stay on top of things at work.

  4. I must check them out . Bought 2 cheap boars from AP cause he said they shedded bad in testing. He was definitely right about that. I tossed one and the other is sitting in the box. I like the flat top look of yours .

  6. BBS in two passes everyday? Doesn't really get better than than, Troy. We have similar weather coming our way in a day or two as well. Miserable for this time of year.

  8. Thanks, Charlie. I was thinking about outsourcing my production to Kentucky. :)

Unfortunately Alabama is still under reconstruction and our enemy's flag still flies above our capital. :D
  9. I have one of those APShave boars. These Oumo flattops are way different- much, much higher lofted.

  10. Reminds me of the Omega but with a much nicer cut . How much are they worth?

  11. Beautiful shave, Jim. Sounds like y'all definitely need some warm weather and I'm glad the flooring is getting wrapped up. Take care.

  12. Love what you did with the razor handle to match, Danny. I must have missed you showing off your work. Very cool. What did you do for threads?

  14. That is such a cool razor, Jeff, and a neat photo effect. Love those French cageheads for sure. Are the Famexes adjustable by tightening down the handle? Puts more tension on the cagehead itself?

  15. Thanks, Jason. The Delrin was drilled with a drill bit from a drill chuck in the tail stock. I then inserted my tap into the drill chuck and tapped the handle by manually rotating the lathe chuck while feeding the tap into the handle. It is a little aggravating because you can not "feel" the tap like you do when you normally tap a hole.
  16. About $10 CDN each plus shipping. I think I paid just over $30 for two. Cheap like borscht.

  19. Jason @jtspartan. This is my original post on the handles. Figured this would be easier on you than having to go back through the post. Take care.

  20. 20Apr21 Shave Den update and tutorial is heretofore certified by the Kentucky Field Office. However, I am compelled to point out one item for improvement. A world class uber lather can be obtained by combining Arko and MdC, side benefits of enhanced COVID-19 protection notwithstanding. The good news is no masking is needed today since you smell of Arko. 20' social distancing will happen naturally.

And osmosis is a thing here...

I kept my comments 100% emoji-free so that @MrEE will think (know?) I'm serious.

Great tutorial, Chris. Basic tools, proper technique, and excellent results. Have a great day!
