  3. Nice hat ! Albeit here in Canada we are still in toque weather for another month.

  4. Awesome shave and love the Disco brush. Take care, Clint.
  5. Be careful and prayers for your father.
  6. Probably not because I need to whittle down my den considerably and I would like to try other soaps when I am ready to make more purchases. Stirling Glastonbury is a nice scent, but it doesn't have the wow factor for me. In the beginning, I did not care for it, but it did grow on me. After this soap is retired, the next soap that I want to retire is the Stirling Coconut Lime. Of course, the timing is perfect to do so. With both of these soaps gone, I will be down to 5 Stirling soaps from my original 10. Again, if I was 20 yrs younger, then I wouldn't mind carrying more soap. Fortunately, I don't have to buy soaps/creams for a few years.
  7. I hear ya Joe. I've built up quite a soap inventory myself to last decades .

  8. Fabulous report and photos Joseph. I enjoy reading all your frag reports. I am so happy that I have not fallen down that rabbit hole.

  9. April 21st
    Razor: H&S Co PO76 Titanium
    Blade: Ladas SuperStainless (1)
Brush: Heritage Collection dubl duck/ gelled boar
    Pre-shave: PAA Cube
    Soap: PAA Astra Planeta
    PAA Galactic Witch Hazel
    PAA Astra Planeta Star Jelly
    AS: PAA Astra Planeta

    Good morning!

Wasn't sure which razor to go with this morning. I keep my razors in the medicine cabinet alongside my sink. I must've stood there close to five minutes before reaching for the PO76 Titanium. I was taken by surprise with the first swipe. The PO76 has a lot of blade feel, more than I remember anyway. Probably just because the last few razors I've used have little blade feel. Three wonderful passes for near BBS. Nearly silent alum.

    Have a great day!

  10. Have a safe trip and prayers for your father’s speedy recovery.

Thank you for the compassion, I do enjoy oud and some of the Middle Eastern perfumes. I have perfume oils I should bring out and try again.

SOTD WEDNESDAY MORNING, APRIL 21, 2021

Last night I used my son’s Shapton Progression to hone one of two old Thistle Cut vintage straights I have, the Persian. I worked it right up to the 30K stone, and now understand the true meaning of scary sharp. I usually blunt the toe point on my Non-round toed straights, but for some reason forgot. Never again! Two divots, one on my right cheek, and the other on my right neck as I was doing a toe down final mug pass will serve as a reminder in the future. The blade tip was so incredibly sharp that I never felt the occurrence. Styptic gel took care of things thankfully. I selected a Gillette New SC for what turned out to be an uneventful two pass noggin shave. I feel refreshed, chastened, but still very smooth!

RAZOR: Thistle Cut “Persian” 5/8 (Mug), Gillette New SC
    BLADE: Feather DE
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
BRUSH: Rearden Razor 316L SS Tuxedo Synth
    CROAP: Stirling Glacial Electric Sheep
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with Glyce Glycerin soap followed by a rinse with Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Osage Rub and Cremo Cooling Balm.
  14. Thank you Clint.

  15. Thank you Joe. The Omega Pro is on my radar for a future purchase. I have a plastic handled one I bought new for $7 but the loft if a bit too tall for my liking.

  16. Very nice Joe
  17. That Persian looks like a cool razor. Brought back a memory from getting a tattoo in Cambodia at a shop owned by a Persian and inked by a Russian. Sorry about the fluid loss, hope it heals up quick!

  19. Beautiful photo and shave Jim

Wonderful report and photo Jeff. Sorry about the cuts
  20. Your Delrin handles look super sleek. I keep going back and forth in my head about getting one of those Yaqi SE razors for travel. I would hate something happening to my Vector.
