    I think I got this soap in a PIF maybe. Second time using it. I like the scent of eucalyptus especially paired with the menthol of the Osage Rub. I found the razor at a swap meet and it’s a little loose when open but tightens up and aligns nicely when the blade is locked in. I loaded the soap for quite a long time while my mind wandered and was rewarded with wonderfully slick lather flying all over the den.

    @Edison Carter
    Thanks, Dave, I agree. I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that the only stones I need are my 1K Chosera, Naniwa, and Shapton and my jasper. 97% of the work involved in building an edge is bevel setting. I only need the three 1ks for that. The polishing is easily accomplished on my jasper. I'm also going to test the La Roccia that my son gave me. That's two naturals preceded by 1k artificial water stones. Really hard steels take forever on artificial water stones. I've discovered that my 1K Chosera sets a roughly shaveable bevel. Doing everything on the jasper is possible, but I've not done it yet. That's an experiment for the future. I suspect it will be quicker all through by starting with the artificial 1ks, but we'll see. :)

    Very nice shave, John.

    Your Superspeed looks great. This is an ugly Superspeed but still a nice shaver.
