  1. They were a fantastic artisan team. Because Eric was deployed, Samantha essentially did everything. She is fantastic! When they were relocated by Eric's duties, they decided to close up shop instead of trying to move it and re-establish. I truly miss them. Even though it's been a couple years, MLS still offers one of my favorite post-shaves.

  5. SOTD : 24th April 2021.

    85.jpg

    Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Asda Tingly Mint & Tea Tree Shower Gel.

    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears ~ Transparent Bar Soap With Mint Extracts. + Nuage Menthol shaving Oil.
    Brush: Omega 11047 Mixed Midget.
    Face Lather.
Lather: Razorock "What The Puck? !" Orange Sunrise Shaving Soap.
Blade : Gillette Winner Platinum. (D1)
    Razor : Parker 92r.

    Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezings, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils. +3 Menthol Crystals, Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Nivea Men ~ Sensitive Cooling PSB./Milton-Lloyd ~ no.9 Victor EDP.

    Greetings,
A new shave set up to start the weekend... Finishing my month of using Indian made DE blades with the Gillette Winner Platinum. which was a superb match paired together with the Parker 92r made a smooth, sharp, & efficient Indian made duo...I can't remember the last time i used the Razorock"WTP?!" soap and forgot it takes a bit more time to build a lather, which for me isn't a big issue i found after the soap has been bloomed in tepid tap water for few minutes I'm rewarded with a rich, creamy slick lather leaving a good post shave feeling to my face. after the shave.

A enjoyable 3 pass +pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few generous squirts of Milton-Lloyd ~ no.9 Victor EDP to the pulse points.

My face is feeling smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

  9. 2021-04-24, Saturday

It doesn't seem like a great day, maybe because I'm upset by the climate related to this epidemic.
I don't think there is any epidemic without uncertainties otherwise, perhaps, there wouldn't be epidemics....
What baffles me is the approximation and amateurism which it is being handled with.
It seems, as sadly punctually happens in a country devoid of true statesmen, they struggle to create bodies to delegate responsibility and not to reach a solution, but to pass the buck.
Decisions changed with the speed and logic of an excited spinster who can no longer find her cat, unfulfilled promises and decisions whose purpose can be understood under the influence of LSD only: how boring must be living in Switzerland or Sweden ...

Fortunately I have some certainty and today I have demonstrated it by choosing these tools that have made a fraction of my day acceptable!
I am now smooth and, unfortunately, as handsome as ever...

Been sporadic here in the SOTD thread as of late but, things are extremely taxing especially at work as we’ve been decimated with COVID running its course. Anyways, excellent shave & excellent scents. A great day and shaves to all.....

    Saturday Straights' Shave
    zcws.jpg

    Cold Water Rinse
    LaToja Shaving Stick
    Tom's B400 Two-band Badger
    Joseph Elliot
    CWR
    Florida Water

The LaToja Shaving Stick Shave Soap lathered well with Tom's B400 Two-band Badger. Two passes and touch ups with the Joseph Elliot razor gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

  16. Saturday morning:

    Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Wash
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Super Speed/Schick day 6
    Arko Shaving Stick
    Prep ASB
    Booster Polar Ice AS Splash

My first time lathering the Arko stick with this Yaqi synthetic and needless to say the results were fantastic - after rubbing the stick on my face and neck for around thirty seconds the brush created such thick, rich lather that was so slick and protective, I really enjoyed the soapy/citronella scent, and the postshave feeling was so comfortable. The Prep and the Polar Ice aftershave made me feel and smell like I had just gotten out of a 1970s barbershop. I couldn’t possibly ask for a better shave!

Have a nice weekend - be well and safe!
