    Joe, so sorry for your loss! Please accept my heartfelt condolences. We were both fortunate to have the kind of fathers people write Fathers Day greeting cards about! My dad passed eight years ago, but I still think about him every day! Be well my friend! :(

    Switched to the Occam's with the full scalloped plate this morning. Another quality shaver, no question. Whipped up a fave lather in a fave scent. When SV gets it right, it really gets it right. There are a few of their scents that I find almost mesmerizing/intoxicating. This is one of them and the base just works for me.
    This Oumo flattop continues to be a quality knot as the tips splits, even though it doesn't look like it would be. The shave really can't be any better than it was today. The Fine splash is an excellent match as well...I used to be kind of 'meh' about this scent, until I got the Desert Vetiver and then this splash found its calling.

    No, I have not tried the new formula, Patrick. Not sure I will anytime soon, to be honest. I have the scents from Fine that I want (some multiples, too) in 3x form. They will last for quite some time.

    Fine L'Orange Noir~~Simpson H4 SiLVERTiP~~Fatip Lo Storto/Spoiler~~Terre d'Hermès Parfum
    The Fatip/Spoiler duo is going strong and there is no doubt they'll cross the April finish line.
    Most of you know I have removed most of my strongly-scented shave soaps from my den.
    One that I did keep and am glad I did is the Fine L'Orange Noir. Wowsers.
    The scent copy of Terre d'Hermès is astounding. It goes without saying, that the old Fine
    soap base was one of the better offerings on the market.
    Completed the shave without any issues and even achieved yet another lower-neck BBS. :happy088:
    The choice of fragrance was a no-brainer, especially because I have almost zero soap/scent pairs in my den.

    This is a year-round scent, great for all occasions. Classy.    ​

    My love of the L'Orange Noir is oft-documented. A bottle of TdH is on the table in a bet with Blair, but I don't think I can wait for him to fail :)))...I might have to just buy it now.
