    Y'know, speakina the carbon footprint of a den-it's getting awfully tough to fit things in mine. My "backup" den is in the bedroom.With the arrival of my Royal Copenhagen yesterday, I decided to rotate RC with Aqua Velva for the Central Texas Soaps' Down By The River, this summer and fall. Gives the den some space.

    Great day for a good shave with my Genco 35 5/8 and Colonial Silversmith. I’d forgotten what a great edge this little Genco has. Three slow careful mug passes put the baby to bed. This was my second straight razor. The jasper stone edge has never let me down. My dome shave featured one of only two modern artisan safety razors in my regular rotation, the other being the Christopher Bradley Karve razor I shaved with yesterday. The Silversmith works well with just about any DE blade. The Polsilver I loaded this morning easily cleared away my noggin stubble and left me refreshed, clean, and velveteen smooth.

    RAZOR: Genco 35 5/8 (Mug), Colonial Silversmith (Dome)
    BLADE: Polsilver DE
    PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
    BRUSH: MrEE LE Knurled Aluminum Handle Hybrid Knot #007
    SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat

    Getting close. Floors are done. Trim is done. Just some finishing touches and a little more painting and the furniture can be moved back into place. I'll be so happy when this is completely done.

    Stirling Coconut Lime SS and AS
    Dickinson's WH and Nivea ASB
    Whiskers: 38 hrs

    I am liking this Semogue brush a whole lot more. It is still a lather hog, but I overcome it by overloading the brush. It really performs well. The lather was slick and creamy as expected with any Stirling soap.
    A two pass shave without any drama produced a BBS shave. Didn't need to do any pickups. I am surprised because this blade presently has 9 shaves on it. Finished the shave in my usual way. Have a nice day guys!
