  1. Happy birthday Paul @Paul Turner and Pierpaolo @ischiapp.

    Hope you day was great.

Rumor has it that Paul was hatched and not born. :D

  2. It is hard to believe that it is May already.

I was going to start the month out with the Colibri (Hummingbird) safety razor but the "glorious" USPS had other plans.

Notice they stated "No access". Let me translate......we did not even attempt to deliver it. :angry019: I had it shipped to my work address which our sales office and parts department is open every Saturday till 12:00. I was planning on stopping by work and picking it up.

Today will be a no shave and tomorrow I will shave with Dave's Famex. I may even skip Monday and then start with the Colibri focus on Tuesday.

    Take care gentlemen.

Happy May Day my fellow TSD denizens.
I haven't decided on a "rule" or a "focus" for this month.
    Today's mishmash turned out exemplary.

The C&E makes a very nice lather, with a subtile, yet clearly identifiable mysore sandalwood scent.
The Feather has a blade, gifted to me by @Edison Carter and I can't remember what it is called.
It's the blade with the guards.
Nice, all-around shave with better than average results.
    Amouage Epic for the finale.
  4. Excellent shave, Joseph. It just all came together. Take care.
  5. Hi guys! Artie has entered and passed through US Customs
USPS RE066804860UA, Arrived USPS Facility 05/01/2021 6:11pm QUEENS NY DISTRIBUTION CENTER

For those of you that are not familiar with the area, Queens is a borough of NYC. It is about 45 miles west of me. So I am excited!
  6. Thank you Danny. We just finished watching the race at Pies & Pints.

  7. Excellent shave and lineup Clint. Enjoy your Saturday!
  8. It looks as though you are building an in-ground pool.
  9. Talk about postal incompetence!

  17. Got some half rotten stumps that had to go and some Red Tops that were trying to take over. The stumps on the Red Tops are hard to get up. We also had to regrade the dirt next to the end of the house. This is at mom and dad's house. Dad was not able to do a lot and let some things go. We are slowly getting there.

    Take care.
  18. That's a nice way to put it.
  19. This is my first 30 day at TSD. I plan to use a birchwood Feather DX and P-30 blade for the first pass of every shave (at least). The second razor may vary but will likely be one of only a few. The soap will be Moon Sorrento or Old School - both from Moon's maximum tallow base - and depending on which one suits me at the time. Brushes will be synthetic, with the latitude to choose from Omega EVO, Techichi Hive, and Muhle XL STF2. Here is shave #1 ...

    - Omega EVO Special Veteran
    - Moon Soaps Sorrento
    - Feather DX, Proline P-30
    - Razorock SS Lupo 95, Astra SS

    - Dior Sauvage EDP

PS I've been burning up time trying to figure out how to post a photo. I have shrunk and uploaded them, with no visible results in Preview but five thumb nails showing up when posting. (I deleted that post.) I uploaded a file to imgur. The imgur file displays in preview, but not in the posted version. After much google searching, including the site:theshaveden.com qualifier, I am stumped.

PPS PROBLEM FIXED (I think.) I can see the photo now, and I hope you can too. I replaced yesterday's problem photo with a new one. Both photos are under 1,000 kb, but yesterday's wasa rendered at 144 pixels per inch (ppi), and today's is rendered at the more common 72 ppi. Size is not the only thing that matters; ppi matters too!
