  1. Thanks Joseph....there is a lot of similarities in a lot of this shaving paraphernalia.

  2. Thanks Blair. I would say they are almost the same. I think Artie is a tad shinier. Here are a few pictures that I took of both razors side by side. You can see Mad Max is dwarfed by his big brother Artie. 20210503_134705.jpg 20210503_134638.jpg
  3. Awesome Mayhem razor, Joe. I'm so glad you are getting great results with the big blade. Take care.

  5. Thanks Danny!
  6. Thanks very much Jason.

    Thank you Blair.

Many thanks Joseph. The shave was great - BBS and smooth sailing. It was late and I had to get up early, so I did only the first pass with the DX, and finished with the Lupo 95. As for tips about the DX, I may be the guy who should be getting tips, not giving them, but I'll take a stab since you asked:
    • The DX head shape is complex in that the spine width and face height vary continuously. At maximum, the spine is about 7.5mm wide, and the face is about 17.5mm high with a Pro or Proline blade. When you do the math, it works out that holding the spine a full width from the face makes an angle of 24°. I hold the spine much closer to the face than that.
    • At 56 grams, the DX is the heaviest of the 12 shavettes I've weighed, tied only with the "woody handled" KAI Captain (no surprise there, I guess). I like the weight. FWIW the upcoming Tedalus Essence is advertised at 59 grams, but it makes up for that by lightening your wallet considerably. :)

Thank you Joe. Enjoy your day too.

    Thanks a lot Danny.

    Thanks very much Clint.

  13. Thanks Jason and yes it is for me especially his Skin Food Splash feels better on my face/skin than anything I've ever used. 2 more Sets to go and saved my favorites for last.

The wife's employer is providing the shots. I believe they're Moderna. We'll see how tonight goes.

    Tonight's shave . Stay tuned........
  16. Thank you Jason. I have developed an appreciation for razors like the Feather and Pils. The small sweet spots just seem to work for me now. I have the brass General on deck for the next few days but that is subject to change.
