    Big razor week continues.....

    Thursday I woke up a little late and didn't have time for a straight razor shave so decided to shave with my favorite DE, a 2011 Mühle R41. But how to make this razo4r big? Add a huge brass handle was my solution. Loaded her with a fresh Super Iridium I was expecting an excellent shave. Forgot to include the brush in the picture as I was in a hurry but a Rooney. The soap, Stirling Evergreen Forest did make the picture.

    The planets aligned and the shave was epic.

    Friday's shave was very German: A big 8/8 full Hollow Friodur, a Shavemac brush and Speick shaving cream. I was changing out some soaps for the warmer weather when I spotted the Speick and realized I had never tried it. The Speick required a lot of product but the lather was excellent and the scent is much stronger than the AS. Of course I used the AS after the shave.

    Back to back epic shaves, I guess the Friodur did not want to shown up by the DE. A couple sprays of Montale Aoud Cuir D'Arabie and the whole apartment building new I was leaving for work.

    I will bring a couple of bottles of Soju, our everyday man's drink from Korea. A couple of shots of that and the shave should be painless.

    That was my plan. 695 loops to get to 70. Thanks for the affirmation. I am very good with directions, reading maps, etc. However, it is good to know that someone who has traveled those roads agreed with my traveling plans.

    Excellent shave and love that Friodur, Blair! I am not a fan of Zingari Man because Heather is very light with the frags. I need my soaps to have some punch. Have a great evening!

    Lol! I have never seen anyone on the shaving forums or youtube videos shave with a 13/8 straight razor. I downloaded a video a few months ago with a shaver using a 12/8 razor and I was amazed. It was a Russian made razor. By the way, Artie was shipped from the Ukraine. It only took 7 days to get to me.

    Believe it or not, the same way I do with all my straights. I can scoop under my nose without a problem. I am fortunate that I have a small nose that it doesn't obstruct my view when I do the scooping maneuver. If you have a nose that droops over the stache like a beak, then it would be a problem no matter what straight you used. Like I mentioned earlier, I will do a video this weekend with Artie and you will see me getting under the nose in the traditional way.
