  1. Wasn't complaining at all. Guess it was a 26mm knot that was laying around but wanted to use it as I thought it fit the look aesthetically (That's my big word for the day) :D
  2. The knot does look a little larger but I like the looks of it.

The Delrin handles are not the pretty boys of the den but they add a little fun and are almost indestructible. That is my big word of the day.

    Take care.
  3. The brush looks fantastic. My handle arrived today. Now I need to come up with a knot of some sort.

  4. Thanks, Gary!
    Thank you, Clint!

Yeah, the blade shaves my face, not the gap. I enjoy mild razors too and they're good for keeping the technique on point.

I have completely read through this month's thread...and I have paid attention. Hence, my use of Lucky Tiger (@Edison Carter ) and Armaf CdNIM (@Primotenore ) today...
    No Mayhem for me though.

Actually, I've been avoiding alcohol based aftershave splashes lately because my face was sunburned last Saturday during a somewhat impromptu concert by my son's high school band. Because of Covid protocols, all indoor Spring concerts were cancelled, so the director decided to have one in the parking lot. Since my son is a Senior this year, he was very happy to have at least one concert for his last semester. He also played one trumpet solo piece during one of the selections and he sounded great. But...I should have worn sunscreen.

Today's shave was an excellent two passes with no irritation or mishaps. The Derby lemon cream performed well and the Derby Premium blade worked great. I used them both yesterday too and was happy with the surprisingly good results.

I hope all of you are doing as well as you can be.

  7. Awesome pic and write up, Blair...well, as long as you're into that whole 'beautiful gear, stunningly coloured, artfully displayed and professionally imaged' sort of thing...
  8. I just picked up a white synthetic knot on eBay.
  9. How is the new Highland Springs tallow base, Gary?

  10. Great looking shave and photo Andrew. I know your son was happy you were able to see the concert.
  11. Glad to hear you were able to see your son play one more time, Andrew. A great sounding shave as well.

We were all very happy for the concert.
  13. Thank you, Jason!
He plans to continue playing in college next year, so I may get to see more. He's planning on a Civil Engineering major and Music minor. His sophomore year, he also plans to try out for the Million Dollar Band (being from Canada, you probably don't know what that is). ;)
  14. No problem, I'll be waiting. Once Mr. Bailiwick enters quarantine at the border, it will give me a 14 day head start.

  15. That is quite the combo for University...he must be very talented and you are undoubtedly very proud.
My wife was a Music Performance major who then switched into Education. She has been a school Band Director for about 16 years, before and after having kids. She plays in the regional Symphony as well.
  16. Excellent shave and good to see you Andrew !

  17. I am very proud of him.
Your wife must be a patient person to be a director for those many years. I've seen how the band kids can act at times.
  18. Thank you, Dave! It's good to be seen... :D
I'll try to be more active soon.
