    Mike's Vetiver~~Simpson Rover~~Barbasol FH/Personna 74~~TdH Parfum/Montale Black Aoud
In lieu of yesterday's less-than-perfect shave, I changed a few variables.
Keeping the Barbasol Floating Head, I switched the soap and blade to Mike's and a NOS Personna 74.
The Rover, while nice to look at, has a knot that struggles to pick up enough soap. Yes, I overload,
but you all knew that about Primo already.
Still, I got enough lather for three passes.

I required a hair dryer to remove the blade from its holder. It's a trick I learned and works perfectly.
The shave was quite smoot; I could feel the blade, as the FH would lean towards the aggressive side.
Moment of truth was when I made the ATG pass on the neck.
Right side, which is usually the more sensitive side and the one most prone to weepers was good.
Funnily enough, the left side got two small weepers, although I didn't feel anything that would have
indicated they would appear. Compared to yesterday, this was a significant improvement.
Tomorrow, I will change the razor-variable, and see what happens.
    Layering recipe #3

Read about this again on basenotes.net and here are my thoughts:
The Montale, with its strong rose/oud scent is clearly dominant in this recipe.
The TdH is there and with its resinous, orange "dilutes" the rose and rounds it out.
Normally, the Montale can really be a beast, and while it still is powerful, I feel the TdH
has put the reins on it slightly.
  7. thank you Joe.good morning..:):eatdrink047:
  8. the lather is very slick ,likes water, goes on like white paint..not a thick puffy lather..still need to dial it but very happy so far..
  9. Top notch pic, setup and shave Maestro!

Gave the Supply a well-deserved 2nd day. 48hrs was no problem. With a sharp Proline and the smooth 'middle' plate it doesn't even feel like there is a blade in there. The Cubebe is a fave as well. Not perfect on the lower neck without any buffing, but not too far from it.
Looks like I need to polish the 400 handle again, though...looks pretty lousy in the pic.
    Have a great day all!
  13. I know the feeling on shave soaps. I have enough to last for years.
