Bill, it was new, sealed in the bag inside the coffin when I bought it. My friend Matt sold it to me, but I would have been a bit leery of it otherwise as anyone can seal anything in a bag. It turned out to be exactly what he said that it was, a brand spanking new Novodur. I’ve honed it once with 1 mil Kapton, and dtried a second finisher once just to see what it liked best. BTW, that 13 Sub Cero was new too, it came with the bag but the seller had opened it to take pictures, which I understand.
I believe some of us can fall in scat and come out squeaky clean smelling like a rose. Me? ...... Well you know! What a beautiful piece. The box looks like it was just printed.
Monday morning shave, CVH MK No.31 with Ivory scales. Light and gentle razor with really thin and sharp edge. Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk
Wade & Butcher Zombie FBU Brush: Chisel & Hound Suds: MDC Original Splash: Dr. Jon’s Flowers in the Dark Finish: DS & Durga Freetrapper And a reminder of what this “beauty” looked like in 2018: At least it won’t kill me when it bites. Enjoy your shave. Tom
6/8 Gottlieb Hammesfahr Solingen Foche BarberShoppe Boar Hair Brush Viking Shave Cream Cleaned and honed this pre 1935 razor this past week. Wanted to see how it performed and today was the day. The toe is a bit flared and pointy so, I was a little concerned. Being slow and careful was the trick. It gave me a very nice shave. First pass was clean. Second pass was smooth and cut the remaining neck whiskers without much effort at all. Even the pointy toe proved exceptional for directly under the nose whiskers. Just slow and careful for that tricky area. Came out without a scratch!
No pictures but I’m using my new Feather SS I got in a trade. I like this little thing. Feather Pro blade. TNS M1 brush. D&G Opulence set. Cpt heavy bowl. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Tanifuji 5000 MaxFli Stainless, soap was MdC original lathered with a Simpsons 57, and a splash of Agua Balsamica finished things up in good fashion.
The I Can’t Make Out the Mark but I Love The Scales razor Brush: Shavemac Suds & Splash: Razorock The Dead Sea Very enjoyable combo. Enjoy your shave. Tom
Tuesday morning shave, CVH MK No.24 3/8”. Extremely handy little razor. Actually one of the best performers that I have. I like the look of broad razors, but the way this little Gem runs over the face is something spectacular. Some people think this is just a “trimming “ razor, but No! Filly 14 user, testing the green-eyed La Lune. Soap was MdC agrumes lathered with a Keyhole 4, and Floris JF finished up a near-perfect shave. The shave was really excellent, smooth and close with just a little bit of AS tingle.
