    Greetings,

Out of the four DE open comb razors i own and have shaved with the The Parker 24C i find the mildest yet efficient enough to give a close comfortable acceptable shave... Open comb razors have a reputation of been aggressive, they can be, but any razor can, which can be misleading to someone who has yet to shave with one i find them very smooth & efficient and match up really well with most DE blades, the only thing which i find you have to do with the parker 24C as with all the parker razors i own ,is to apply a steeper shaving angle to get the best shaving results.

A enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off a with a generous splash of Brut Sport Style ASL.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.

    I'm impressed!
I realized I can control the weather!
Today is a gray day, finally....
And it rained last night, but it wasn't raining when I got up and it still wasn't raining when I got down to the studio.
    .
But I only had to go outside to get my car and… it started to rain.
In the country, with the farmers who need to irrigate the fields, I should make it a job...

Before I left, I had remembered to use a really mild razor, but efficient enough to meet my needs. Especially paired with one of my favorite blades.
And the Martin de Candre, continues to be fantastic.

  12. Tuesday morning:

    L’Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Super Speed/Schick day 9
Master Soap Creations Nordic Croco SS
    Bull Dog Moisturizer
    Bleu de Chanel Deodorant Stick
    Bleu de Chanel AS Splash
    Bleu de Chanel EdP

This Yaqi synthetic is a beautiful brush and does it ever whip up fabulous lather with whatever soap or cream I use. The Nordic Croco soap is one of the nicest from Fernando - it’s tallow based, its scent is almost a carbon copy of Davidoff Cool Water which is a nice fragrance, the lather explodes off the brush, it’s so thick, rich, as well as slick, and the postshave feeling is great. The Bull Dog moisturizer makes such a soothing balm, and to me no other fragrance is as beautiful as Bleu de Chanel. Three passes cleaned me up perfectly and left me smooth as silk!

Enjoy your day and your shaves - stay healthy and safe!

    Cold Water Rinse
    Tabac Shave Soap
    SlimGem Silvertip Badger
    Stoll Jr. Lather Catcher
    Personna GEM SS PTFE
    CWR
    Tabac AS

The Tabac Shave Soap lathered well with The SlimGem Silvertip Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Stoll Jr. Lather Catcher with a Personna GEM SS PTFE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

  16. The timeframe for the razor is wrong, the correct production dates I can verify is 1907 - 1910 and possibly later for this razor. Reason why it was called the Dime is it sold for 10 cents.

  19. A.S.Razor shave, Tue, May11th 2021, First Star lather catcher model made under the new merger American Safety Razor Corp in USA by the Kampfe brothers(Star brand) of Brooklyn NY, Gem & Everready. Star brand is know for its fine lather catchers and MFG first safety razors in USA & world!

Razor: Star bar #4 model lather catcher- Mfg 1919-20, excellent razor, <mid range, what a great razor to use, gives me great results and a joy to use and own one, seems like a rare model to find.
blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE (2) excellent blade, very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely & predictable.
Soap: Ogallala Bayrum & sandalwood(some clove)- nice sharp scent, + great lather qualities, soap can be thirsty for better performance IMO.
Brush: Yaqi Chianti's 24 mm synthetic, excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle scrub + great lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Witch hazel + Ogallala Bayrum & sandalwood [IMG]+ a dollop of Nivea balm.
