Thank you Jason. Time is moving along. I have not be able to spend much time at work due to the unforeseen circumstances regarding my father. I have to head back to Florida again soon.

Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Asda Tingly Mint & Tea Tree Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears ~ Transparent Bar Soap With Mint Extracts. + Nuage Menthol shaving Oil.
Brush: Yaqi ~ Sagrada Familia 24mm Synthetic.
Face Lather.
Lather : Razorock "What The Puck? !" ~ Lime Burst.
Blade: Astra Superior Stainless. (D4)
Razor: FaTip Grande.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezings, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils. +3 Menthol Crystals. Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Nivea Men ~ Sensitive Cooling PSB. /Osmanli ~ Lemon Eau De Cologne.

Early morning shave,

last outing of the Astra Superior Stainless which has been consistently Superb with every shave throughout the week...I feel as though i could easily get another 2-3 shaves from this blade, but I'll put it into retirement as i have a vast amount of other DE blades to contend with.

The FaTip Grande/Astra SS combo was such a wonderful match....Very smooth and efficient...Two passes left my face feeling smooth, but i carried on with the third & pick ups pass for the sheer pleasure, and to use up the wonderful slick lather the Razorock "WTP? !"soap provided me.

A enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups close comfortable near BBS shave with no errors to report...Finishing to the shave off with a generous splash of Osmanli ~ Lemon Eau De Cologne.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

Happy Thursday everyone. At least this week has gone by very quickly. For today I moved onto my next soap victim, Mike's Bay Rum. I will use it a couple of times a week until it is gone. I pulled not the Katana. I have found I get better results cutting the blade in half. It just seems to be easier to load, especially on the second half. Three passes and touch ups just missed the baby. I did not do a good job buffing my lower right. I hope everyone has a great Thursday.

It was an amazing shave though and I will say that my Krect Spiral Curve Slant if I truly could have only 1 razor and had to pick ONLY 1 razor, I could honestly say this would be it. Vintage/Modern wouldn't matter. This would be it !! The GE Jones Shake Sharp is a close 2nd but this is it. We'll see if that changes when the Shake Sharp MK-1 arrives............Of course I don't have to pick just one and love the variety and change up required when using different razors. Keeps you and your technique on it's toes. It's my long Thursday and debating whether I'll take tomorrow off or get ahead on things. Have a great day Everyone !!

Real fine shave this morning as I opened use of the Royal Copenhagen aftershave. It was good to bring out the Central Texas Soaps' Down At The River. which I use for the spring&summer months. 0:45 to load the Stoylin brush(No-Name). One thing I like about these soaps that I haven't used for months is that after just ONE shave they "look" used right away. Nice coverage all over the face and neck("coverage"= "paint job"). 2 passes. I could have done a little better at NE Porcupine(I just felt the area and some astroturf was still there)). That side needs more attention than does NorthWEST Porcupine, for whatever reason. But nice work everywhere else. Cactus feels good(except for the ingrown hair section). No cuts/Knicks. I ALWAYS like THAT result . The Royal Copenhagen has a wonderful relaxing feel to it. Super Duper Excellent.

Focus variables today were the razor (Feather AS-D2) and face-lathering the soap.
Stuck with the Klar Kabinett and the Personna 74.
I am trending towards the mild as this razor has one of the smallest blade gaps in my den.
Because of the small gap, the optimal blade-angle is correspondingly smaller.
There are two established methods for acquiring the proper angle.
Either starting on the cap and moving downward, or starting on the bar and moving upward.
Whatever method you use will work, if you pay attention to the feel of the blade against your skin.
It is quite easy to "overshoot" the "sweet spot", so I move slowly---at least I used to when I was still a
The Feather razor has some beef and because I am using one of the smoothest blades ever produced,
I could, with the help of a very slick soap, perform some serious buffing.
The ATG neck-pass was the best so far this month and I was left with zero weepers or irritation.
Tomorrow, I am going to move to my Feather AC and shoot for similar results.

Luckily, https://www.fragrantica.com is quite inclusive, so those out there that may be budding
fragheads, should bookmark both of these websites.
I am getting a wonderful melange of pepper and rose.
Later, after the scent has begun to dry down, the musk will dominate.
Listed is Agarwood (Oud), however, if you are anticipating a "barnyard" scent,
you will be disappointed.

While "animalic" is listed in the main accords, I don't agree.
This is a lovely rose/amber/musk scent, that'll last you all day.

Mix up day.....used Evan's brush handle and MdC's Fougere for a great bowl overflowing lather, super face feel (added a couple drops glycerin) for 3 full passes today. First pass was WTG, north to south all over, then XTG out to in, followed by the opposite XTG in to out. This example from Drew Dick was a razor I used for a rule....so maneuvering is like riding a bike, it just happens naturally, even if I haven't brought this beauty out for awhile. Shaves like butter after a stropping session, very quiet while at work. BBS results, no issues to report. A favorite for some skin soothing, PAA's star jelly after shave balm. It is slightly mentholated (the only aroma) so there's a small reaction that's refreshing.

Finished with a wifey favorite , this EdT is sublime. Awesome @Primotenore enablement from late 2020.

The DD Damascus is a beauty. My DD Damascus appears to be a mirror image of your’s sans the scales. A wonderful razor.

No complaints with the Soap Commander this morning. It is just great solid soap that always delivers.

Three great passes with the 0.84 Gamechanger this morning. No blood loss and just a hint of alum in a few places. I wanted to see how the GC plays out against the Colibri so I went with the Colibri handle to remove that variable.

Finished the shave off with a witch hazel splash and a few squirts of the Royal Copenhagen.

So how does the GC compare to the Colibri? These razor are close with a nod to the Colibri. I think the wider gap of 1.10 makes it a tad more efficient. Both razors are smooth and have similar blade feel. In all honesty it is too close to call. Both razors will not disappoint and are very smooth solid razors.

A smooth and easy 3 pass'er earlier this morning. I did carelessly nick myself below my ear at the jawline, but given the fact that it didn't really gush, I'm guessing it was the protruding end of the blade. Yup, careless.
This Colonia dupe is another one of those soaps for me that I love the performance, but am just 'ok' with the scent. Oh well, not every classic can be a fave. As such, it doesn't get the same usage as my other SVs. I also don't think it is the exact 4.3 base as my others, but what do I know. Still a very good lather created this morning, regardless.
I've enjoyed a run with the Goodwill, and will move onto something else for tomorrow.

Thanks Danny. It is true that it is definitely lighter, however, that's true with all my other straights. Lol!
Honestly, Artie and Max are so balanced that I do not feel as if they have any heft. I think it's because they are both half-hollow straights, but I am sure if they were near wedges or wedges, then it would be a different story.

What a wonderful shave! The post shave is absolutely amazing with this soap. Velvety soft and hydrated, my face feels after 3 passes complete. What can I say, every shave member here needs to try out the vintage old spice shave soap at least once . Even if you can’t get your hands on the aftershave or cologne, the shave soap is a staple to every den.

I just started to definitely say I’d go with the NEW LC...and then I saw the MonoBilt staring at me...then I spotted the Karve...An injector? Of course the Supply is there too... the Floating Head needs a nod...okay those are my top 5 definitely. Well, the Goodwill, Occam’s, Old Type, Deluxe...okay forget it.

What's your plan for "Mayhem" May?

I plan on shaving with a DE blade, duck taped to a popsicle stick.

I plan on shaving with a Bowie Knife.

I plan on shaving with a Stihl chain saw.

I plan on shaving with a rusty tin can lid.
