  1. :signs107:

Looking forward to seeing it in action.
  2. In my mind, any modification of a DE that removes any safety features is, by definition, MAYhem. Well done, Blair! Great minds on the Felce for F.F. it seems as well.

  4. That is a stunning photo, Joseph...well, as long as you are into the whole 'vintage gear in immaculte condition artfully maintained and displayed' sort of thing...:)
  5. Thanks! I will have a 27 to 28 hr growth so I will use one of my safeties.
  6. A cool pic of amazing gear, Gary. I hope Vancouver is getting some of this nice weather, too.

  8. Funny you say that. I moved it into the light for the picture with no other thought in mind. My wife pointed that I should move it away from the window when I was done should the neighbors see it and get the wrong idea.

I don't smell any similarities between Felce and Fern. I could see why you moved it along if those were your expectations.

  10. very cool Joe..
  11. Ya, good point. I had the FA puck before I had the matching thick splash. I had the Fern in AS form and was using it following a FA lather. I didn't need it to be a match, obviously, but I just didn't enjoy the scent as much following a fave. Should have just used it on its own with a different soap.
  12. thank you Joe.it was a fine shave,soap paired quite well,great lather,and gillettes smoothest tto razor..mid 50s brit..classic burberry to cap it off..:):eatdrink047:

  17. He just placed the knot into the handle? I'd love to have it fit just like that without having to use fancy stuff.

  18. Thank you Jason. The precise cut would not lock the top plate in firmly. So precut 1/2 blades would not work. You could tighten the two locking studs to make the cut blades work. The tolerance was designed to take the curve of the snapped blades into consideration for locking purposes.

  19. Amazing......well maybe not, but really cool anyhow that a guy takes a tool that most almost fear and it becomes his fave & daily driver.

Having been one of those on the pass around of that amazing piece, I’m glad it has a home where it gets used.

  20. Congrats on the new tool.

When I chronicled my shaving journey on video I did an episode on the R48. Maybe this will help some.
