I was excited to use Danny's handle with the Timberwolf knot because it was the first time that I knotted a brush. I have to say that I did a great job because the knot stayed in the handle while I was loading it and using it to face lather. The knot is soft and it has some backbone which is fine with me. It did produce a nice lather and frankly, that's what it is supposed to do. It is a great brush and I thank Danny
@Hembree for piffing his handle to me.
However, the shave was something else and not in a good way. I did 2 passes and got a near BBS, but at the expense of some blood loss. I nicked my left ear and my chin as well as a few weeps on my right neck. Moreover, I developed severe irritation on both sides of my neck. Fortunately, the alum stemmed the red tide. The blade is sharp, but it is not as smooth as a Feather or a Rockwell blade. However, I will keep the blade in the Model T, but dial it down to a 4 and see if it tones down the blade. I hit the entire face and neck with the alum and it lit me up real good. Finished this shave with the witch hazel and the matching aftershave.. I smell nice, but my neck still feels and looks raw. I would have to rate this as the worst shave in the last 30 years. Oh well, there is always another shave. Enjoy your day fellas!
