  3. You have some serious straight shavers here to guide you on your straight journey so feel free to ask any of us any questions along the way. Also, feel free to check out the thread Straight Razor and Shavette Guide for Newbies that I started awhile back. You will find my suggestions as well as tips from other members quite helpful.

  4. Yes, Andrew did choose the same knot. However, I chose mine before I knew he chose the same knot.
  5. Thank you Danny.

  8. Excellent shave Barry.
  9. I have a couple of temp probes. I seldom use them anymore. Once you sort of learn control of your fire with them, you can wing it a bit.

My key advice is ‘clean fire’.

  10. Why was it turned around? Better traction in reverse? Looks like a fun project Danny :)

  11. I found its been a good 1 and done blade Joe. Some I stretch more but in general I stay at 1. Definitely lots sharp , but not the smoothest out there . Take care :)
  12. My first was a Cub Cadet 782 Diesel. They were owned by IH at the time and it had a red paint scheme.

It was the most miserable hunk of iron I ever encountered. Needs a car battery but, no room. The slight larger ‘lawn tractor’ battery, was only made a short time.

One of the best best days of my life was the day it sold. Probably a good piece for a collector though.

I love my Exmark Lazer Z straight.

  13. Are the building materials prices sky high like here? I was just lucky I bought alot of what we needed a couple years ago and never got around to doing the work till now . When we put the new roof on the plywood was $32 per sheet. It is now selling for over $90 per sheet. Timing is everything. Also great shave :)

  14. Awesome find Danny! I switched to a charcoal bbq a few years ago and must say I'm never ever ever going back to propane. The taste is 10x better and no hot spots . Once you get the hang of using charcoal you will enjoy it immensely.
