A beautiful morning here on LI. Up early, as usual, for the start of another work week. Yes, they are dwindling quickly. Speaking of dwindling quickly, the soap is on the Edmund Fitzgerald watch with only one shave left. It’s demise will either be tomorrow or Wednesday.

The MMOC Bullet Tip delivered another super smooth and comfortable shave. I decide to give the CL Unconditional Surrender another go, my concerns over the longevity of this bottle has very previously been documented here on the 30DC. It is a wonder Scent but does not last as long as my other CL splashes. I have been tempted to purchase another bottle to test my theory, however, as of this moment it is unavailable. Perhaps another option is to do a double dose of the splash.

Hope you all have a great day gentlemen.

  7. It's whatever you want it to be, Bill. :)
  8. Not necessarily "limp", but rather "al dente". :eatdrink020: Bacon should not crumble.
  9. I still say a warning label should suffice.

    AoS Lavender (Tallow)~~Rubberset 400/3~~Portland 1905~~Kasturi Musk
    Variables today: Soap

Stayed with the Portland and after a good stropping last evening, I expected great results.
AoS (Valobra) Lavender is a heavy-hitter and always bats 1.000.
    Today was no exception.

    The shave went well.

I have developed a pattern in my straight passes, which seems to work well.
Since my facial hair has a growth-pattern that defies logic, I can't really classify each pass
in the traditional sense, WTG, XTG, ATG, etc.
Regardless, my passes get the job done.
Neck, as usual, would fail the cotton ball test.
Thayer's and Proraso finished the shave with a small dab of Kasturi Musk for the finale.

  17. Wonderful review. Wish I had a nose for this stuff. I must be noseblind:D. Wish I had his $$$$ to afford it too.
  18. Maybe I over do it but the CL last a long time for me . Even though I cant smell it after a few hours, other people still can.
  19. Great setup today Dave :)
