  1. I'll have to review the "M" boys. By the way, nice job from your team in Game 1 vs. Pitt.

  4. Completely concur.

I'll hopefully get a video done late tomorrow of comparing thicknesses of a few DE blades, SE blades, straights (including the DD EFH grind). The video will reveal the numbers....

  5. I wish I could do a video, but my bathroom is too small for the setup. It would be like this:"Hi everyone, today I introduce the fine work done by Greg Smith at Central Texas Soaps. I have his Down At The River scent. For the brush, I have Stoylin "li'l brudder'". OK, first to load the soap. I.......YOWWWWWWWWWWWW....WHAT THE?..!!!!!"...

  6. I use my phone to do videos so you don't need a lot of room. I have a large, wide ceramic cup that I keep upside down and place about 4 or 5 tubs of soap on top of it. I take a small towel to cover the soaps and place my phone on the towel and against the wall. The towel prevents the phone from slipping off the tub container.

  7. Fine shave overall this morning, but a lesson was learned. I'll get to that later. 0:45 and later 0:10 to load the Stoylin Sheep(fresh with Stoylin Frost Drops)onto the Stoylin "li'l brudder" brush. The near minute length of loading provided for a nice, smooth shave in most places. I got a large Knick(sounds better than a small cut)at South Porcupine, just above the jawline.Another of those "Man, I didn't see THAT coming" Knicks. No other blemishes. And now, the lesson: Before applying the Bill Neumann A.S., I forgot to completely dry my hands from the cold-water rinse of the shave. Why is that important. It meant that the water on my hands partially cut off the scent of the Neumann. Thus, a bit of a watery close. SOME of the Heartwood scent got on OK, but it was like mixing two solutions while taking @Trigger's Chemistry class. Tomorrow, I'll be sure my hands are completely dry first. Most Excellent.
  8. Nice shave Paul. Never dilute your aftershave because you want the full effect of it, especially when you are on Aisle 12 in Piggley Wiggly.

    Blade: Bolzano Superinox (2)
    Brush: MrEE Monster

    Soap: B&M Reserve Cool

    Good morning!

This morning's shave didn't feel nearly as nice as yesterday's. My skin felt sensitive to the blade on skin contact. Did my usual three passes although I gave serious thought to stopping after the first. After a thorough cold water rinse I reached for the alum. I was surprised by very little feedback. My skin looks and feels fine like I would expect after a good shave. Maybe my skin needs some toughening up after the three month hiatus. I'll see what tomorrow brings.

    Have a great day!
