Everything worked as it should this morning, which is a good thing considering the quality of the products. The Mikes is an excellent lather and the 24mm flattop did a great job whipping it up. I know some others haven't enjoyed these flattops (the 28mm version is in many of the '19 LEs) but I really get good results with it once I figured out how to get the most out of it. The MonoBilt rocked again and I was inspired by JoeC to reach for a CL splash this morning. I am completely smooth, without issue and smelling pretty well. I guess that makes it epic. Onto another shaver tomorrow after a nice 3 day run with the MonoBilt.
    Have a great day all!

    Good morning!

Beautiful shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. Nearly silent alum.

My face seems to be coming around and getting used to having a razor blade being drug across it on a daily basis.

    Have a great day!

    BAUME.BE Shaving Cream
    Jayaruh's #288 Spalted wood w/synthetic
Grim Blades - 6/8 'The Blades Grim’ Carbon Fiber & Brass
Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements Star Jelly ASB
Jimmy Choo - Man Intense EdT

Digging through the inventory a bit for today's shave. Excellent bowl overflowing slick lather from the BAUME.BE shave cream & this generic synthetic knot, loaded in Jayaruh's spalted handle, very comfortable in hand (diminished in size slightly compared to most shave handles). Only my second or third use of the Grim Blades straight, should definitely bring it out more often. Even though this blade is described as a full hollow ground, it's a very stiff blade, with a scaringly square sharp toe point. Constant attention to it's placement lest it leave a nasty weeper on the cheeks or neck, but works great when chasing down single hair strands in the nostril shadows. Awesome smooth shave, 3 full passes, nice BBS, one mowed down skin blemish crimson spot on the neck. Some skin nourishment with PAA's Star Jelly, followed by a gift from wifey (last year), Jimmy Choo's Man Intense EdT.

Hope everyone has a great Hump Day!

  9. Fantastic shave Blair! Shaving with straights that have unmuted square points can slice hair and skin. I have poked myself because I was careless with placement.

Face-lathered the XPEC and for a cream, it really needs hydration.
Ended up with a beautiful lather, which was a solid foundation for my razor.
The Böker Red-Injun No 101 is one of my
    favorites.
    Aside from a really keen edge, it has great aural feedback; comfortable to wield;
and an excellent geometry. Besides, it's fun to use.
Typical Primo straight results, with which I am not only satisfied, but have come to expect.

This juice just works. Uber-masculine (I need all the help I can get) and a scent that really projects.

  13. Thanks Joe! I've gotten bitten by unmuted points from applying too much pressure, or not paying attention to lateral blade angle. No fun.

Thanks Joseph! BTW....fixed that for you. :eatdrink047:
