O.k. gentlemen. I have a weak spot for Dixie straight razors which were manufactured south of Atlanta. I already have a few and this one popped up on Ebay. This is the first time I have seen this color of scales on a Dixie......very unusual. Price was right so I had to grab it up. It should clean up nice.
Very nice p/u Danny. I am shore it will clean up nicely. I am assuming you are using a dremel. I would suggest not going over 5,000 rpm, otherwise you will destroy the temper of the steel.
Love the details and comparisons Dave, super images and Williams Wednesday shave. Coffee and carrot cake for breakfast… Nice one Joe! Hope it was a good day at the HS. Auto Pilot work shave, great combination and image Clint!
Fun combo with the Yates and Nodachi Danny! Cool work on the handle! Nice shave and results Paul, fun read!
Super image of the setup Jason. Great combo it sounds! Incredible colors Jim! Nice combination. Love that razor Joseph! Super images and fraghead details as always.
Thanks Joe. I cleaned the Wade and Butcher by wet sanding it with 1200 grit sandpaper and then polished it with a cotton wheel on a bench grinder using a white paste. I did not get the blade hot. I appreciate your input.
Sincerely appreciated Clint! Thank you Jason! ‘Appreciate the kind words Danny! Can’t wait to see the restoration results Danny! Those scales are catchy!
