    Tuesday morning:

    L’Oreal Barber Club Facial Wash
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Super Speed/Astra Green day 9
Master Soap Creations Deep Blue SS
    Nivea Sensitive ASB
    Bleu de Chanel Deodorant Stick
    Bleu de Chanel AS Splash
    Bleu de Chanel EdP

This Yaqi Barber Pole is not only a gorgeous brush it works like a champ - you should see how it makes a soap lather. The Deep Blue soap smells so beautiful, it buried my face in thick, rich, super slick lather, and it felt so good both during and after my shave. The Nivea Sensitive balm provided a great soothing, moisturizing sensation, and there ain’t nothing that smells as lovely as Bleu de Chanel. (To me!) My Super Speed/Astra Green combination gave me an absolutely perfect BBS shave which I enjoyed so much!

Have a great day - be well and safe!

Pearl-Cooper/Feather pairing yields a shave on par with say a Fatip Gentile, moderately efficient, very relaxed. A few pick-ups on the usual head crown stubble with the Shake Sharp.[IMG]

Razor: Gem Damaskeene OC- Mfg 1912-15 for the O.C, excellent razor, soft mid range, this razor really started the Gem razor Mfg in the right direction, after decades of only a few improvements they sold millions of different variants. Very enjoyable shave.
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE(6) excellent blade, very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable.
Soap: Tabac- nice mild clean scent + excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi High mountain silvertip badger 24 mm, makes some of the best lather, not a lather hog, soft tips with a just a gleamier of prickliness that changes from more use, great scrub + great lather painter. Very impressed with this badger brush + no funk.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Fine fresh Vetiver with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm,
Results: CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + 1 chin weeper= [IMG]Excellent shave with my Gem Damaskeene 1912-15 the real McCoy with a coated Gem blade.

Well this isnt a soap i use often due to the lack of lather. So a couple of days ago i decided to try it out after ive soaked it over night which i started sunday afternoon. Well the lather was thicker and was slicker than slick. Ill have to start using it more. The razor is awesome! Bbs smooth! Just the way i like it.

I don't know about the ones in plain white. This is from my 100 pack that I bought six years ago. I am still working on it.

Your question is interesting to me because the SBS had not been my favorite razor in the stable. It has been probably close to 3 years since I last used it. I really like the look, but it is a weird shaver and can bite if you are not careful. I agree the OC side of the head is milder then the SB. Which is odd. I do prefer the SB side. I wanted to see if it shaved any better then I remembered or if my technique improved with it. It is better, but it is aggressive to me. The OC reminded me of the head on my new Magnetic razor which I will use next week and wanted to compare.

    Tabac Tuesday May 25th SOTN

A smooth and comforting Tabac / Hiram shave tonight before bed. The blade still has a lot of life left in it but I may try a Schick Proline for comparison tomorrow.

    WEDNESDAY'S SHAVE

    Perfumed by:
    Manuel Cross
    [IMG]

Razor - Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements "Starling V2"
Blade - Personna GEM Stainless Steel Coated *4th Shave
Brush - Declaration Grooming "Fatty" in custom green color
Suribachi Lather Bowl handmade by Of the Dirt Pottery
Shaving Soap - Dr. Jon's "Gold Label"
Aftershave - Proraso "Menthol & Eucalyptus"
    Deodorant - Jason "Forest Fresh"
Fragrance - Rogue Perfumery "Bon Monsieur"

I will again follow the shave with the Alum Block as acne treatment. It's definitely working. I am using a cold water rinse after the Alum applications but there always seems to feel like a residual Alum remains. I'm looking forward to this shave. I really like the way the different products smell and compliment each other in this set.
